Sexy girls , sexy guys , so why not a sexy Plane ?Macross is one of my favorite animes of all times .
And for the kids , I am talking about the original Japanese version of 1985.
Btw , its MACROSS and NOt robotech !!!
The Valkyrie itself is one of the greatest invention of the anime guys .
A plane that can transform into a Mecha .
and this was the first one .
anything else , is a folded robot , ha ha .
This scene was incredible , with the fail on the artificial gravity , the girl fall to her death , and the hero fly to help her on a now vertical street, full of debris.
That is sci-fi at its best , and I dare Hollywood to do something as good as this .

You did a Freaking amazing job recapturing that scene!! I just seen Macross: Do you remember love movie about two month ago and I was blow away by it. Definitely my favorite anime movie of all time. I only wish I discover the movie a lot sooner since I been a fan of the series since I was ten.

Hikaru's VF-1A with...DYRL coloring? That's the fall through the verticaly aligned fortress from Do You Remember Love, that weird alternate-continuity/retelling with Atlantis and bald green Zentrandi, not the original Macross.

When I started watching this it was called Robotech, then later changed to Robotech the Macross Saga. Regardless of the name, this show was by far the best ever!

Wow! I saw the original tv show back in the 80s. I admit to trying to go frame-by-frame on my vcr trying to see if there was a panty flash. Just curious, I open the link and find I havn't seen the 'Do you remember love" remake oh my god what have they done to Exodore?!

It would have been better if we weren't treated to Hikaru whining about how he never gets to see Minmay for 20 episodes.
I always liked how the Valkyrie had to apparently obey some physics in its transformations; to go from flying as a plane to ground-running as a robot it had to change into the intermediate form and slow down first, and the reverse to get back into the air. The later Macross series usually don't bother with such a detail.
