I think I mentioned off-hand that Prisoner is a Basedti refugee– the only one to exist, as far as anybody knows, because the terrestrial maelstrom can take people but never give them back. The full story is one of few he’s loathe to retell, but it is one I would like to put to a short story or comic someday. Anyway, in brief:
