Description
Sooo, here we go! First sketch I did for the DEJ 2022 challenge of AdorkaStock (if I'm not mistaken, you can still join in! ).
I started with the first pose , but I didn't draw them all in order of publication.
At the beginning I didn't have a clue how detailed the drawings would be, so I decided to just do it sketchy, so I would have enough time for all the poses.
Seemed it was a good idea, because though I traced the poses and just drew a somewhat clearer sketch on base of the first one, drawing took me at least two hours for each pose.
Yes, I'm slow.
It's okay, I learned a lot in the process.
I don't know if it's visible in the collection , but after the first sketch I decided that every sketch would get some color. For me it gave the sketches something at least a bit special, some kind of highlight. What do you think?
I don't plan to color the sketches. To be honest, I still don't know how to do it in a way it looks good. But maybe, sometime... Well, I now have all these sketches and can go wild with them, because they're all digital. That was really a new experience for me, to draw all of this digital. As I wrote: I learned a lot!
Is there a story to this being I drew?
Hm, not that much. The pose was titled "Magic", but I didn't want to do something with a wand. On the other hand I wasn't sure how much "artistic liberty" would be allowed, so I wanted to stay quite close to the template.
Well, nature magic it is, blowing some life into a flower.
This man (boy? forest creature? sartyr?) should get hooves, but they turned out all wrong, so I went back to feet.
That was #1, twenty-one more to go. Hope you don't mind.
