2D ForeverI'm going on a bit of green-blitz currently, aren't I? I'm just finding that it's nice to work with...
Anyway! For the first time in a long while, Kyo Kusanagi returns! This spurred from a simple idea of form in my mind. I liked the idea of one arm held back like it's 'charging' (literally charging fire in this case) and having the other arm in a more ready, offensive position. Bit of a fighting pose originally, but I had to add some skinny Kyo-campness.
I like the flame, came out better than I originally thought it would. I drew a very simple cartoon-like flame, consisting of very simple shapes. The colouring helped it along, but it's maintained it's funny shape still.
Anyway, that's how fire could look if it came out of your hands, you never know... Please don't set your hands alight.

Oh, crap, his skinny-tallness reminds me of that one... ARGH! The one anime-type movie where the one bad guy stuck his fingers *in* the good guy's chest and twisted... of all the things, that's what i can remember from that movie, and i can't remember the name.... ARGH!!!!!!
Oh. And after 10 minutes of searching, it's "Hokuto no Ken" or "Fist of the North Star". One of my favourite obscure animes. ^^

That was the main idea, that the flame being the only light source so it had to seem really bright. Glad it worked! thanks for the comment

my friend cosplayed kyo before, and he did set his gloves on fire! the material was immune to fire in such a way it wont burn as long as there is another source of fuel for the fire, which is ordinary rubbing alcohol.
btw nice, but i see him more of kusanagi (clone) than the real kyo nowadays, hehehe....

Very cool. I had a friend who did the same... but without a glove. He's very intelligent, but has a bit of a dim appearance. Well, he didn't get burnt so all is well!

btw he won the cosplay as part of the top 10 of day 1 (there were 2 days). the next convention, there was a rule in cosplaying that contestants can use fire props at their own risk, instead of the no-deadly-whatsoever props rule ...

I do still draw on the odd occasion when i get time, however i wish i could say the same for sarah! She seems to think her stuff is sub-par for some reason, i'll have to get you to back me up when i tell her it's not
