Well, maybe I have dragged the little arrow too far when I darkened this with levels on PS, but I like it dark this way, I think it looks cooler...This is a pencil drawing I did on a Saturday a week or two weeks ago, but never bothered to finish. I referenced this from a photo in a magazine, and since I returned the magazine, I don't think I'll borrow it again.
I hadn't posted anything for almost 2 weeks, eh? How unusual for me. XD

It's pencil, I just darkened it on Photoshop because everything turns up too light when you scan it.
I think the nose is the best part of the picture, actually.

you know, at the top it almost looks like she's looking out of a window or something... then it looks like she stuck her head out of a whole in a paper bag or something, and then the bag sort of becomes hair. like one of those optical illusions XD

I don't have that much patience - that's the main reason why this isn't complete, and will be complete - and anyway, it didn't take me that long... maybe around an hour to 2 hours at most?

The magazine was due, and I don't think I'll find it again after I returned it. And anyway, I kind of just drew it to practise the face. I like the hair too, but couldn't be bothered...

Well I drew realistic only once... ower 2 years ago... it was my only drawing in that year >_<... took me over 6 hours (3 times for 2 hours... one week making ^^' )... and it didn't looks half as good... yeah it is on my gallery.

Direct reference / still life sketching is very important basic. That's what my parents and all my art teachers have told me, and it's true. So I do recommend that you do some sketching. ^^
