PLEASE FULLVIEW!!! You'll miss alot of details if you just look at the preview piccy! It doesn't to it justice, dammit!

I'm finally done! YAY!

The reason for this particular deviation is to push my limits as far as my still sucky CG skillz!1! goes. I think I did okay, I still need some improvements. I mean it's MUCH BETTER than Summer Fading Light [link] , that's for sure.

It's Ran, the Voice of Hope from Groovy Fighter Nizer again. And if this picture looks similar, it is. I used the rainbow deviantion to full CG it. It took me like about 20 Hours because: 1) I had to redo the CG because it frankly look crappy, 2) and I stared at it again...

I tried to use a lot of warm colors in this one (must know how to do cool colors on the next one... but I don't know how to make them....). Lots of browns, oranges and yellows.

I took a lot of time on the hair to make it more realistic, but but not looking real. I'm trying to find that perfect balance of realism and anime. It's close but not there yet (want a little bit more realism)...

Since I used so much yellow-based color, I decided that a purple background would be best since yellow and purple are complientary colors with each other. I was orginally gonna put a sky background but it would've been too bright and the light source would've been different and I had pretty much finished most of the picture. Also the purple background would downplay her purple eyes, which I'm kinda not sure if that's a good move or not. I appreciated comments about how I draw eyes, but I didn't want to be the main focus of this picture.

And I went detail crazy on the eyes.

I'll put up a close-up screencap of the picture in my scraps later on this week. Enjoy!

Also, the song that inspired the lineart was, "Ignited" by T.M.Revolution, not "Reason" by Nami Tamaki like I said before. But I did listen to both songs alot during CGing.

Drawn in medium Papermate black pen and (bad) computer paper. Edited and CGed in Photoshop 6 and Elements 2. Done in around 20 hours.
