I'm experimenting with how to put dialogue into my upcoming mini-story. Would you prefer word balloons like this? Or should I put the dialogue in the description box like this:Officer Theodora: "Officer Theodora reporting! We've found the suspect's vessel... etc. etc."
What do you think my darlings? Do let me know!

Just put an arrow from the balloon to the speaker as you've done and that's how it's done! ^_^

Hmm, I think the text pops out a bit too much, maybe there's some way to make it blend in a bit more with the scene. At least I think that'd help. Maybe changing the text and box color to fit the scene? I'm unsure.

I do like the status boxes. A lot of sexy potential there, yeah? Not sure about the word balloons though... They're a lot of work and they look retro rather than tech-y... maybe if I made them more... I don't know... communications-y? I'll keep experimenting...

Officers theodora and her partner suited up bd ready to takedown a dangerous criminal - i think you should use both to show us what their saying and thinking and the box let us know what there life expectancy, suit pressure and state of arousal is

I'm not sure about the life expectancy... I wanted to include it but I feel like Space patrol is more... vanilla than my other creations. The filth don't usually expect to die on any given day... Most of my shite is... hmm... Aeon Flux meets Heavy Metal, whereas I'm thinking of the Space Patrol as more Disney meets Flash Gordon...
I LOVE the idea of life expectancy readings I just don't know if it fits in with Space Patrol. part of my trouble is that to do a really brilliant HUD takes A LOT of design work and I simply don't have the time.
