Hmmmm...haven't used any of the generation 4 characters yet in Studio. I might have to pull them back out at some time. He looks a LOT better than I would gave them credit for.
I think you got everybody's feelings (lately) perfectly captured. LOL

Thank you! Conveying emotion through body language is something I am trying to work on.
Honestly, M4 and V4 can look fabulous in Studio. I use Anagennesis on them on a regular basis which really makes the skin very much more realistic when rendering them in Iray. I also have a utility from V3Digitimes that also works very well for converting the base skin to Iray. But honestly, even out of the box, a lot of those skins look really good. and V4 has some truly stunning body art and make up skins.

Emotion is very very difficult in 3d. I'm working on that myself. I have a tendency to default to the blank stare because everything else looks cartoony to me.
Anagennesis is a fantastic skin tool but its not perfect. I still recommend it highly, but be aware that it makes the most difference on the older models. Although a bonus is that you can use it on other models like the dragons and dinosaurs. If you were to only get one skin product this is the one I would suggest. But there are other good ones that will supplement this. Did you see the new one by V3Digitimes that just came out? Looks fantastic, but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I try to have my people use expressions, but they look so goofy.
Thanks for the info on Anagennesis. I'll eventually pick it up.
