A friendly, easy going but lazy kitty who enjoys nothing more than a peaceful nap under a tree on a warm day, Orion is the last mon you would ever expect to end up in trouble…well, willingly putting himself in that trouble at least. Along with being friendly and easy to get along with, Orion is also a fairly optimistic person, always looking at the bright side of any bad situation, and finding it easier to stay calm in tense situations to help find a solution. While these traits make him a good problem solver and mediator, he is also terrible at handling confrontation. Situations where the tension or other negative emotions are directed at him, he will freeze up, and become speechless. It is one thing for him to handle a squabble between two others, but when it is directed at himself he has absolutely no will to fend off accusations. This Ducklett’s feathers are coated in glue, because the water will not slide right off. So he tends to avoid personal confrontation at any cost. Being Lazy, Absent minded and forgetful often get him into these situations with his twin sister rather often, but he’s grown accustomed to her scolding’s over the years.

[History]

When the twins were born, there was happiness, and fear. The first twin born, a young female Espurr was born strong and healthy, but the second nearly didn't make it. His body was smaller, more fragile and his cries were weak as he struggled to breathe, the two Meowstic's feared for their newborn son's life as the doctors did what they could to keep him alive. Slowly, but surely over the course of days his health improved, and he while he remained small and weak, he would live. Orion Curtiss, younger twin brother to Moira Curtiss would grow up with quite a few health issues, but none were beyond managing with an altered diet and medication. He would get sick more often than most children, and tired out easily, sleeping more than what was healthy because of it. He was also shorter than his sister at this point in their life, a scrawny Espurr kitten who was in constant need of his elder sibling looking out for him, keeping him from falling asleep on the school bus, making sure he got his homework done, etc. She was the only reason he was making it through school, and even though his health improved as they entered their teenage years (and high school) they would evolve, and his sleeping problem became less from health issues and more from his own desire to remain absorbed in his dreams, falling asleep in class and at his desk doing homework.

It was in high school that he actually discovered his love of baking, taking home economics class as an elective at his parents insistance to give him at least one other class besides Phys.Ed that he couldn't fall asleep in, and ended up finding motivation in a new hobby. Alas, it was not enough to keep him from his lazy ways, and his hobby could only hold his attention for so long, and as the years went on the twins remained close to one another, the brother not acknowleding or admitting to the fact that he had become dependant on his sister's presence. Though it was not as if he couldn't do ANYTHING without his sister's help or pushing him to do it, he simply found himself unable to tear away from her. While she had her group of friends, he only had her and that was fine with him, it wasn't as if he didn't socialize, he simply had no one he could really consider a 'friend' aside from her. It worried their parents how attached to each other they were, but when they reached young adulthood and they received an invitation to a town in need of citizens, the two decided it was time to prove to their parents that they could make it on their own. They were mature and responsible enough to live on their own...well, Moira was, but Orion would go if she wished it.
