Description
This is my second attempt on doing Sci-Fi graphic. This supoose to be a planet burning down and the sapce shettle is getting the hell out of it. Please full view to see all the details.Some credit goes to meta474 for the upper planet and i forgot the name for the person where i got the main planet that is burning. If you find out please send me a note and i'll edit my description.

cool pic, but lots of problems with it also...
firstly you have abrupt line cutoffs all over the place of what seems to be layers youve set to a layer mode to texturise... ie the left wing of the ship theres a random square of dark orange... and on the planet in the middle of the picture over the lower right area of it theres another large square visible, which even runs off as a straight cutoff on the higher right of the planet. right underneath that planet i really like that space dust or whatever, but the dust corresponding to it on the higher left of the picture, yet again, more cutoff lines... i suggest you get an eraser set to Opacity20 or whatever and drag it along the lines to at least blur the cutoffs... as for the fire on the planet it looks quite abrupt and fake, the picture is lacking atmosphere you need a backing behind the fire, mabye a large blurry orange brush at low opacity and brush outwards to create more of a focal point. also you need to get your ship looking more like as if it belongs there, brush some colour onto it using a brush set to colour more, and get rid of that grey next to the right wing... this is OK for your second attempt but all i can say is that its really quite scrappy at the moment, you need to put alot more work into this to get it stunning... this piece has alot of potential you just need to make it work.

Whoa, this is an awesome piece. The colors are great, I especially love the gold tone of the planet. I can't find much more to comment on, it's a visually stunning piece of art.

Some very nice elements in this - great ship texturing, nice background, great composition. Maybe the outer glow on the ship could of been toned down a bit, though but besides that, very cool!

Adding to the previous thought: You could try to enlarge your flames instead of touching the rest of the picture, that way it keeps the sense of impending doom and a since of proportional reality. (Note: I am going to drive my physics professor insane when I university starts).

Proportionately it seems a bit off. For the ship to be that big to the viewer yet still be able to land on that planet it would have to be a ways off and be in no immediate danger of the fire. My suggestion: Shrink the ship or enlarge the planet. Also, there seems to be a lot of blank space around. Perhaps adding a few stars, moons, planets, satellites, etc. would add to the overall quality. This is a great piece as is but it can still get better!

being no expert at this kind of art, I automatically think this looks awesome
however, even so, I was able to notice some things which bothered me a bit while looking...
On the left side of the ship there is an orange square there, which is rather distracting, also on the right side are some grey patches which confuse me as to whether it's lighting or not. I think that maybe adding a few stars in the black areas would give the overall image more life, just because I think it could add to the effect of the image. Upon closer examination I also noticed in the top left corner how the clouds(?) kind of just cut off, and have a straight edge all of a sudden, bothers me too....
I hope all of these points haven't discouraged you in any way, I'm merely stating my observations. Overall this piece looks amazing and I love it already. Just a few tweaks here and there would make it all the better

Criticism:
The explosions look a bit off - there's a vibrant cloud, but it doesn't actually look explosive, no ejecta and doesn't look like it's fast moving, just a cloud instead. Also, is there a translucent yellow square over the left nacelle? I would also work on the lighting for the ship (nice modelling btw) ; if there's an explosion behind the effect would be intensified if the ship is darkened on the shadow side. Could you peer into the cockpit then? or should it just be almost completely dark?
The NCC-1701E is little bigger, isn't it?

This is fantastic art! I am really enjoying the upper part of that planet above the ship and stuff. It adds to the picture. I also enjoy the colouring. Nice.

Looks fantastic, the only flaw I see is the colouring on the left of the ship, there's an orange box of colour overlapping the ship with a hard straight line spoiling the effect on the part.

Excellent work. amazing planet rendering, along with the ship. I love how you can even see inside the cockpit. Most people would use a mirror effect or something to avoid the detailed work. A+ work

I love the ship, the explosions are amazing , the planets huge, the depth and motion is really immersive... but it glows a bit little for a huge explosion (big soft glow over the whole image) and it lacks stars... I think adding stars and nebulae (which you did, but not atmospherical enough
