Description Long time I don't submit any Space Art.
Well, any of my submitions are going really slow lately. Not lately, but I believe fast artworks never goes well. That's why I work a little bit in the day, WHEN I work in something.

Lately my inspiration sources has grown with movies, musics, and obviously other deviations.

Ok ok, I'm really tired now and there should have a lot of grammar errors, so, please tell me.

Ok lets talk about this piece.
The name talks about some way to the knowlegment. It's about the discovery of new tasks on the universe by these ships, probably in the future, when we or any other kind of intelligent life makes temporary bases and hangers on asteroid to get rid of unnwanted enemies and to work as a spacial laboratory, right aside the research elements 8D
I'm not used to make stories to my pieces. Don't know if someday I'll.

Please, any kind of comment is appreciated, but I personally prefer critics

>>>EDIT:
Tweked everything.
Majority changes in new planets in the background and new cluster and dust formations (a bit brighter starfield)

The asteroids have made me write this... I wass wondering where did you made them? I'm working on a space scene my self, but i can't seem to get the asteroids wright... I tried Photoshop and 3Ds Max modeling... Still no luck... Any constructive comments?

Fusion-light [2004-10-18 20:30:31 +0000 UTC]

nice work dude oever all the planet looks realistic some pixelatation but i dont like the star field its to dark and where is tht light source :S

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

xRed-thunderDragoNx In reply to Fusion-light [2004-10-19 00:16:35 +0000 UTC]

hey thank you!
I agree the planets is realistic, but pixelation?! It's 1/5 from the original size! Pixelation is impossible!
Humm the starfield.... well, I wanted it dark anyway, and some guys prefer bright, others dark, some detailed and full of elements, others prefer negative spaces.
The light source?! Sorry, but it's obvious it's location.... right down.

Came out better than mine.

xRed-thunderDragoNx In reply to atd [2004-10-18 19:50:13 +0000 UTC]

Not really
Your one is clean and calm. My one has too many details agrouped on a small space. I have this composition problem since my fist spacial scene, but I think I'm souving this little by little.

alyn [2004-10-18 06:36:30 +0000 UTC]

you're lucky i like this piece, because otherwise i would've ignored your note.

Good stuff, the planet is superb, nice texture to it, likewise with the asteroids, very nicely crafted and give a good feeling of depth. Background starfield is very nice too, subtle, and very true to space. The bottom half could do with one extra planet in honesty though, in the very far distance so make it small.. that way you enhance the depth again.

Otherwise, very nice work.

I was really thinking that you would ignore it, but I'm so glad that you didn't d

As I said inda previous comment, depth was an enphasis in this piece.
I don't understand wath do you mean with "subtle".
Hum.... a far away planet on the bottom half.... I'll try this out

Thank you for your comment
PS. heey, now I can step up to my friends sharing with then ALYN'S comment on MY art

Nice, I love your that little base on the asteroid, very well done. good starfield, I see you tried the "aksu" style. But hum there are some weird black area, like at the bottom left? except that, very well done

Hehe I don't think the base is so well done! Other painters would make it much better, more beautful and more realistic, but it learnt a lot with this and my next attempts will be each time bettter!
Haha, of course! aku's style is awesome and he's my bigger starfield inspiration source!
It's just negative space, but tomorrow I'll try to add something there and see if works!

Thank you the comment!

Thank you the eulogy and the overall comment

Ya, I wanted the feature the spaceships in this piece, as it's the first time I try to really paint something. Here I made my first paintings in the ship and the asteroid base, the hangar.
Maybe it's hard to see, but there's 5 spaceships: one just taking off and other 4 ones more distant from the asteroid and the camera inself. All of then are going to the same direction.
Not me, not you, even they know where: planets or asteroids, but we all know their objectives: research.

Yay! Even without the purpose of creating a history to the scene as a lot of skilled space artists do, I create did

Eulogy- A laudatory speech or written tribute, especially one praising someone who has died.
i guess technically you could be correct, but ive never seen the word used in that context before, very unusual. in any case, whatever it was i originally said stands.
