But. The last few miles seemed for Lyo like a good opportunity to try talking deep with Vidar

Lyo let Helena lead the, by now, small crowd towards Nattvik. There was not much snow still, yet a deep fog
was slowly dissolving by a wind chasing through the hills in company of a few lost snowflakes.
He waited for Vidar who was at the very end , watching no one gets lost.
These weeks gave him enough time to think about a few things he usually pushed away in his mind,
here he wasnt busy and wasnt all the time having his attention at many different places.

He smiled a bit as he tagged along next to Vidar, remembering how badly he wanted to join him on
his journey to russia when he had to leave, yet he was never allowed to follow.
"You did well" Vidar grinned and patted Lyo's shoulder, not noticing the slight frown on his face by his lack of empathy xD
"You had doubts in me didnt you?" Lyo asked silently "I couldnt prove you enough to view me as equal."
"What are you talking about" Vidar snorted making a bitccchhplease face and wanted to pick up some pace.
"When you left off to russia...why didnt you ever send me or our mom one single letter?" Lyo fixed him with his stare.
Vidar stopped. "Lyo..that was long...looooong ago..."
"It was, but i never understood. Can you imagine how excited i was that you maybe write me about your adventures?
That oh maybe one day Tomi is going to let me know if hes actually dead or alive. You knew our address,
i didnt know where you had been. " Lyo tried to look at his face, but Vidar looked up and away "Look i wasnt goign on adventures Lyo,
you don't wouldnt understand, it doesnt matter anymore anyways"

Lyo sighed "It does...do you actually care? I lost you in my life twice and saw dad's troop returning with only his goddamn hat.
With that sorry filled expressions but they had no idea ive lost the only person then who believed in me. I thought your
dead too surrpriise you turned out to be our russian cousin's spy. You werent the same person anymore, like you gave up on me too,
but you didnt care you didnt even try to find me. Then you encouraged me and supported me getting captain, and then you died. I saw you dying,
Vidar. I am shaking of fear ever loosing someone i love this much again, But you? You returned like noothing happened,
what happened to you?"
Vidar didnt understand at all why he had to bring this up. HERE. He looked around confused "you really want me to explain a situation,
that was about 200 years ago?"
"Yes i do" Lyo kept Basterd in a halt.
"Because i had to. I was a sppyyyy, do you understand that? I couldnt just oohohooo write a letter to my family each weekend
while i ride around on enemy territories and go through crossfires. They could have used you against me or harmed you because of my actions,
i..i did things i wish i could forget"
"You never told me what happened those years..." Lyo frowned, thinking this was no excuse.
"Listen i am ...i dont want to talk about it" Vidar turned Alexandro around.

"So you will never let me understand what changed you so much?"
"Killing changed me this much!"
"Ohhoo like i dont have blood on my hands, coz im fucking innocent prince charming aint i?? "

Lyo collected the reins and made Basterd move into the other direction "Excuse me for wondering what family means to you at all"
Vidar remained silent and looked into the distance, he really didnt know why he couldnt express his feelings.
He sighed and peeked after Lyo, if only he knew how proud he was of him.
Oh next year he will let Lyo lead the trail with Helena,
if this stubborn captain needed challenges, so it be.
But he soo should stop getting emotional around him thats something he couldnt handle at all.
