Description
Vidar was about singing up Katarinka for an event while registrations went down before he'd attend the trail.
He wanted to get her shown in dressage just as he did with all of his endurance horses to prove they can do more than walking around.
Since the young Alekseevka would complete the trail instead of Katarinka, Vidar brought him to this show as understudy.
The young stallion never had been at a show before, but acted calm in Vidar's presence.
Also he didnt had any serious dressage training yet, only a few basics.
Vidar wasn't there to win, neither to perform on a nigh level, just letting Alekseevka do his best.
The reason why Vidar signed up for this event in first place: was it's theme.
A memorial event to remember those who passed away.
Sadly now one reason more to attend this show.
Originally he wanted to ride in memory of his beloved wife who passed away,
his treasured horses who died back then in war, or after good service of old age.
Now also in memory of Katarinka who made her rough road through life to die in peace.

As the light snow featherly fell from the sky, Vidar somehow associated it with the ash that flew around in the air
the night when his wife died in the fire. He should have died with her, but he didnt.
He still deeply loved her, but one can start to love someone else just as much without forgetting the other ever.
In this last moment of mourning he remembered her and the moments with her,
but he also got ready leaving the past behind. Kat showed him how to be alive again,
raising up from the ashes.
He collected Alekseevka's reins riding assured into the arena, wearing his old spy uniform not rly caring if hed get penalties.
He believed Alekseevka could do justice to his ancenstors, the noble Admiralskaya who are about to be extinct.
Showing of his powerful steps, still having the feel of war horses in their veins after all the years.
There barely was a way keeping up their breed without inbreeding or mixing them with Obertaurers.
Katarinka passed away way before she could haven give birth to a few more of their russian lineage.
Mari had a talk with him on the way and they agreed it wouldnt need more than 3-4 generations until
the russian line of Obertaurers would be no more.
However he was grateful for the time he had and still has with them, hoping it would last for a long while.
