Description
The brief:Design a display font/typeface that reflects the vibe of a certain area or region in CT. Then design a poster that shows the inspiration used to create the Font.
I was given Kloofstreet - People who know CT - knows that Kloof is a very beautifull and trendy spot. You get all sorts of people there - rich poor, young and old.
I focused on one specific thing namely the fact that the old orignial vic buildings are being used by trendy youthfull shops etc. These buildings are decorated with beautifull brookilace in the corners of the arches. This all creates a very unique old/new vibe for the street.

this is a fantastic font. you did an amazing job, and it works well because you took the most recognizable part of each letter and made that part stand out. part of each letter is totally filled in, but each letter has the most important, recognizable part still stands out.
it definitly gives off a classic, retro vibe (which you usually do a good job of

They havent teached us to convert the font into an actual typing font- we still need to learn to use the software, but they said they would, and if they dont, Ill try make a plan special for you!
