Description
This is a mythical beast that I created! ^^

It is called the zinolin. It is a combination of two of my favorite animals; the hoatzin and the pangolin. They are pretty bizarre animals in of themselves, and so I love them!

The zinolin is a dull creature except for the iridescent flight feathers and its brilliant eyes. It has claws on its wings which help it with climbing. The scaly tail is strong and wraps around things for support.
The tail appears heavy, but is structured in a way that is lighter than it appears. The wings are only good for gliding and short spurts of flight. Despite the weak flight, the zinolin is equipped with powerful legs for running long distances, and the wings assist with speed.
The scales on its tail are razor sharp and so are the newest grown feathers; the feathers dull over time from wear. Because of this, the creature got its name from an ancient tribe in the tropics, "zinolin," meaning "bird of knives."

I created this mythical beast and the description. The name, again, I just invented it, it is not from any ancient language.
