FULL VIEW, PRETTY PLEASE? THE THUMBNAIL IS GRODY.

Error is an old, old character of mine, an exiled elf. He'd really just like to live his life and leave well enough alone, but this is constantly thwarted by two small issues: he's one of the most dangerous people alive, and he's completely batshit crazy. He's got exactly zero conventional magical ability, but he's a master of illusions, which essentially means he can go where he likes and do as he pleases. He's just unbalanced enough on a normal day that he keeps on ending up in fights, and once he's fighting, well, that's when he really loses it. Still, he'd much rather scare the hell out of his opponents than actually do damage, which is probably a good thing, for those facing him - his illusions aren't just visual; he controls all senses, if he wants. He may not be able to do any damage, but he can make you THINK you're in excruciating pain. He IS crazy, though, so who knows what he'll come up with next.

Minor bit of redesign since the last time I properly drew him about 3 and a half years ago (it's actually one of the first pictures in this gallery.) I don't draw fantasy characters that often because, to be honest, fantasy stories just aren't my taste. (Nothing against them, mind you. Just not my thing.) Still, I like fantasy character DESIGNS quite a bit, so every once in a while, I give in to temptation. This was an attempt to do a proper painting again, so this was done mostly on one layer instead of 8 million layers like my last big piece was. It has some anatomy issues and the background is iffy, but I'm really trying to push myself to do proper scenes, interesting compositions and challenging poses, even at the risk of screwing it up terribly. That's hard, for the perfectionist in me.

Next goal: curb my compulsion to write descriptions this long. I can't heeeelp iiiiit....
