Acquired this lovely lady a few weeks ago. I love skulls with unique features like naturally worn teeth or other abnormalities. Her missing teeth were lost naturally or worn down into her jaw bone.By the look of her dental, had to have been painful for her til the day she died. I really wonder the story behind how she broke her canines. She's definitely one of my favourite skulls in my collection.
Her previous owner bound her jaw to her so I just let it be. Makes well for studying the hinged jaw better without fear of dropping it.

i just bought a very old wolverine skull. guy who cleaned the skull told me that the trapper said it had a grey muzzle. teeth are so worn down in places you can see the thin tube-thing where the nerves went. other teeth are worn right down TO the skull.
it's beautiful. i love skulls with unique things. and wolvie skulls have a "socket" for the jaws. O.o

I would think so, they're not sharp at all. I'm thinking she scavenged, gnawing on left over kill's bones wearing her side teeth down.

Thats very interesting. I have a raccoon skull with similar dental problems, both of its canines are worn to the bone, it has a lot of cavities to.
