oh man theres so so many, especially in red and blue as the game is so easy to break female symbol is one of my favs since it's an ominous 80ft pillar of light that plays a looping, grating track of music thats heavily corrupted. oh yeah its also totally inescapable, you have no option to run or anything its great

actual game glitches provide a much more unique level of horror in comparison to drab fan-made things i've seen. the horror of wrongness and the unknown works so well with video games because its messing with the idea of a video game which you know works in a set manner suddenly throwing this at you with no forewarning and no way to combat it. thats the kind of thing that would send me into panic as a kid, a thing like that appearing with no explanation and no way for me to understand it makes it so much more fearsome to me

I swear I think I saw a few of these glitches too in other games, some were just annoying, but one was just... well... creepy! It was in the dungeon level of the first Castlevania, between tons of skeletons one suddenly starts to laugh. Well, it does a movement that mimics a laugh, actually since no speech was possible on a NES. It happened only that time and never again, I tried to search for clues on internet but nobody seems to have witnessed that scary thing. It wasn't my eye's trick because my brother too saw it, he actually asked me if I saw it too.
