Okay, there's a good chance this will not hold out but I am going to try and have this guy be my last new stitchpunk. At least for a while. Knowing my habits, though, it won't be too long before another one jumps up out of nowhere.

This is Felix. And he's my first stitchpunk since 86 to have a head that's not made of cloth like a normal stitchpunk. He started as a random doodle in my notes, and at first I thought about just drawing him and leaving him as a parody character, never to be seen again - like the one I drew a while back covered in optics. But apparently that plan fell through because now he has a name and has appeared multiple times in notebook doodles. Those two sketches in the corner are two examples that I could not duplicate but wanted to include, so I just got rid of the lines and threw them in that empty space.

He also wound up having a color scheme very similar to Elrik, and I had to go with a more orange-y shade of red to keep them from looking too similar. I also wanted to incorporate blue metal of some sort into his hands but it clashed with his body's colors, so I went with a grey with a very slight blue tint, instead of a gunmetal blue like I originally intended.

Description -
Felix is a little self-conscious about his appearance, though he tries to be proud of how odd he looks. His real feelings about his looks shine through when others react negatively to his appearance and instead of brushing it off, he acts defensive and almost takes it as a personal insult. Appearance aside, he's a bit full of himself and a little whiny, but he's also very loyal to those he calls his friends. He just doesn't like directly admitting to it. To those he calls his friends he acts like that sibling that complains about the things you do and constantly makes sarcastic remarks, but does whatever he's asked to do without fail.

In addition to overreacting to negative reactions to his appearance, Felix also overreacts to positive things that are directed at him. Little compliments make him act bashful, and the bigger the compliment or other positive action the bigger his reaction - up to the point of him bouncing around out of joy and cheering, and humming happily as he goes about doing relatively normal things.

He's able to speak because while he doesn't have a mouth, he does have a voice box in his chest that simply acts as a speaker rather than having anything to do with mouth movement to form words [like my other character Toby].
