[edit - April 2012]

I don't know why, but I was doodling Morgan today and for some reason I drew her with a ponytail. And.. I liked the way it looked. So I worked that into her reference sheet. I figured it wouldn't be hurt to give Morgan some trait that is purely her own, that isn't a mix of some characteristic her dads had or some variation of a characteristic from one of their designs.

You may notice that the tiny Morgan down in the corner climbing up Felix doesn't have a ponytail. That's because it's added later, at her request. When she's able to talk and the time for an upgrade comes up, she tells her dads she wants a ponytail of some kind, after seeing some pictures of human girls with them and liking the way it looks. So they made sure there was a long fabric extension coming off of the blue fabric that made up the bottom of her upgraded body's head, and knotted that so it was sturdier at the base and cut it so it had a nice triangular point to it. And of course it didn't take Morgan long to snag it in a few places, as she spent a lot of time messing with it. The main notch is there because one of the first things she did with her new ponytail was hook a metal spring-ring charm through it, and managed to get the charm caught on something and it ripped off that little piece of fabric. The hole above it is where she tried to wear the charm after that, but soon removed it because she didn't want another accident that ripped off the entire ponytail the next time.

Whether or not she'll ask for a ponytail when the time to be upgraded to an adult comes is still up in the air.

Remember when I said I was going to try and have Felix be my last stitchpunk character for a while?

Didn't work out.

I feel like such an addict. "One more character. ..okay, maybe one more. Alright, one more, then I'm done. ....Okay, really this time, last one." aand so on.

Now, with every other pair of mine, there is at least one stitchkid I've designed, because I have way too much fun mashing two designs together and seeing what I can come up with. Though Felix made it pretty clear that he did not want his "stupid hand-head" passed on; so I tried to make a few references to it through other more subtle means.

I named her Morgan, because in my head that's a reddish name and Elrik and Felix have different shades of red incorporated into their design. And she also somehow got the nickname "Boo" from Felix. That may have been influenced by the fact that Felix shares a voice actor with Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. and also that I picture Morgan as acting very much like Boo does when she's small. Whatever the reason, it stuck.

Morgan herself is quite energetic. A little too much. She loves climbing on things, including her dads, and if left alone she might wind up either falling off of something and hurting herself, or getting stuck high up somewhere with no way to get down without help. This is known because it has happened on more than one occasion, even if it meant one of the dads turning their back for a few moments. Placing things high up to try and keep them out of her reach doesn't really work, as she'll proceed to build haphazard towers to reach said item. In order to keep her out of trouble and satisfy her need for being high up, Felix and Elrik pack her around on their shoulders. Obviously once she gets too big the shoulder-rides will end, but hopefully by then she's not as likely to harm herself and is more adept at climbing.

Personality-wise, Morgan is a bouncy girl, and bashful should you compliment her or even talk about her around her. She's a bit naive in that she doesn't seem to think anyone has any bad in them, or if they do seem bad that there's probably something deep down. Morgan is also brutally honest and it came make her seem like a brat at times, because she doesn't think too much about the effects her words will have before she speaks - at least at first; as she gets older she learns to be a bit more considerate. She's also quite sensitive and is easily pushed to feel negative emotions, like sorrow or anger or worry. However, she also seems to rebound just as easily.

Morgan, Felix, and Elrik are mine,
9 and stitchpunks are Shane Acker's.

Aww, she's a sweetie! One of my best friends is named Morgan, and it's a reddish name for me too. Are you still mad at me about our little tiff on the forum? You know, you complained to the mods about my behavior, I freaked out and posted an apology to you and then deleted my account, then was in my room crying for an hour? Just know that I am sincerely sorry about everything and I will never stay mad at you. I'm banned from the forum, btw, so don't expect me back there. But I'm here. I'll stay here forever.

If you haven't figured it out yet, it's me, Sarea. Your #1 biggest frazzspazz fangirl. I'll never give up on you, no matter what.

one thing her fathers should put on the list of "Things to worry about" is "Morgan meeting her evil Uncle Blair, getting hurt by said maniac" and things like that.

cute kid! ^^

Yes, that also kept running through my head - what on earth would happen if Blair ever crossed paths with her? Makes for an interesting scenario, if not a scary one.

no kidding, it'd very likely to be the Horror of Horrors for poor Elrik to say the least. though you'd think her fathers would make sure to keep that particular scenario from happening until she's old enough to see through Blair's foreboding, shit-eating, grin. right?

Yeah, most likely. I imagine Elrik would be warning her from a very early age not to listen to certain tall stitchpunks with long necks and wide grins. For the most part Blair only harms you once he gets you wrapped up in a "deal" and if you don't give him a chance to do that he'll most likely let you go, but just for the time being. I also think Elrik and Felix would be keeping an eye on her at all times and acting like protective, over-reacting parents when she should try to go somewhere on her own. Regardless of her age.

..sounds like Blair is a persistent son of a bitch if someone catches his interest for the moment.. if he met my 17 he'd only get "no" in every possible way with a ton of swearing if he keeps at it and pushes her past her tolerance limit which isn't that hard to do anyway.. anyway, sounds like she's in good hands with her fathers, over-reacting aside. ^^

You cannot escape the urge to create stitchpups. Never.

Love the way she's stitched together...so many fascinating patterns and alternations of color! Her personality sounds fun too.
