Description Another portrait, painted on a type of panel I hadn't tried before. Very shiny and smooth, had to be careful with acrylics, as if they were too wet, brushing would pull the dried paint right off the panel. I varnished the painting and painted over the top and the problem disappeared. Oil would have stuck better. Ref: stefangrossjean

Thanks, I am still sorting out my portrait painting methods,{ must use a fine brush for the details...}.It wasn't until I finished that I realised it reminded me of someone, then a member of the family walked in and said "my god thats Robin {a friend of my sister} when she was younger", and now I look at it I can see the resemelance.
