super cool design, can the forward solar panels swing to the side for atmospheric flight?

Thanks These panels swivel to the rear and cover the ones behind them. It's mostly for storage and better agility in atmosphere.

What inspired you to do the TIE like this?

Was it the Star Fury?

This beast looks like it can take on X-Wings with no sweat!

I was inspired by the X wing actually and the Episode III V-wing which had "snapping" wings. The front half of this TIE's wings actually spin and fold with the rear part (hence the height differences between panels) but I never rigged it.
