Description This is an original character from the core cast of the comic I and my wife are developing - 'The Uniques.'

Quake can, as you might guess, create localized earthquakes. But that’s just the beginning. Like the character himself, his powers will be more fully explored as the story goes on. See, Quake is something of an enigma. His origins are shrouded in mystery, he speaks little about his past, and is often talking about his vision - a goal that he rarely expounds on in specifics, but which will ultimately have ramifications for the whole team, and possibly the world.

So, yeah - Quake’s a heavy thinker. A political activist who despises politics. But also a punk-ass teenager who fancies himself the next Che Guevara. He’s got a lot of big talk and big ideas, but walking the walk…we’ll see. His evolution is one of the parts of the story we’re most excited about.

You can read more about Quake, his powers, and his story in his 'Better Know a Unique' entry on our blog: [link]

Do you do commisions? I'm writing a superhero book and I was looking for skilled artists.

Sorry, but I don't have time for private commissions. Maybe if you catch me at a convention I can do a sketch for you there!

Julios Esteban Richter. Otherwise known as Rictor in X-force. Powers of vibration or earthquakes. Your character reminds me of him so much. I love it dude.

I s'ose there are similarities, yeah. But the comic is set in the 90's, and what 90's 'bad boy' DIDN'T look a little like Gambit?!

Yeah, that shirt is something that really only works in the mid 90's. It's what happens when you're doing a 'period piece!'

wow...villain brewing.

That absolutely inserts a nice amount of intrigue into your book. It really gave me a sense of anticipation your other characters haven't yet. I love that loose ended supporting character, and I like this guy.

Nice idea, good character, and cool design. Also at this point I'd like to point out that you're doing a good job of mixing up the facial features. All the characters are identifiable thus far.

I don't know if it's just me, but his face has Brad Pitt's cut, and his clothing resemble that of the character he portrayed in Fight club. Probably just me, but I thought it was neat. OOH OOH, is he a figment of SCOUT'S imagination?

"whats that smell?"

AdamWithers In reply to Significant-Pie [2007-03-21 02:21:28 +0000 UTC]

You nailed the Pitt. We're using 'casting' to help make sure that the characters have that distinctness you're talking about, and Fight Club Brad was what we went with for Quake.

As for the 'villain brewing'...that might or might not be too extreme to attach to him. But, then - right or wrong - I wouldn't tell you the answer now, would I? Mwah-ha-ha-haaa!
