Description
This sword is called a Sanze. It is the principle infantry sword of the great armies of the Kaeliphate, which itself has its origins in the the southern region of Tar'Orasos.

The design is reminiscent of the khopesh, a fact that stems from the common ancestry of the people of Tar'Orasos with the tribes of the Red Desert. Over 4000 years ago, one of the largest tribes of the Red Desert could no longer sustain itself in the harsh and arid wastelands they inhabited. They moved south in search of new, more habitable lands to settle, taking the khopesh with them.
They eventually crossed the Atleos Mountains, the greatest mountain range in the known world, and into the Tar'Orasos region beyond. In a stroke of fortune, Tar'Orasos is one of the most fertile and hospitable regions in the known world, and the tribe prospered.
And now, 4000 years later, the people of that 'lost tribe', once again united after centuries of war between rival factions, reintroduced themselves to the world with the largest invasion the world had ever seen, said to have been comprised of over 600,000 soldiers.
3 years after their initial campaigns, the Sanze met the khopesh for the first time as the Kaelic armies pushed northwards along the great caravan routes through the Red Desert.
