Description A friend of mine is leaving, moving to LA, and it is his custom to pass a book amongst his friends in the nature of a yearbook at the end of a school year. As is my habit, I don't ever write anything but draw instead. My friend has a thing for angels (as well as tailed demons, though I didn't have enough time for two) so I thought this was perfect.

I used one of 's poses for this, so special thanks to him for excellant modeling that made this possible. Go check out his gallery!

Asexual isn't gender neutral. It's having no attraction to either sex.

Ah, true, but the recipient of this artwork is gay, so the naked maleness was more with that in mind than any canonic element of angels themselves.

This is a very very beautiful thing... I think it's an excellent substitute for writing; art has a way of revealing so much more than our lips can ever tell, or our pens ever write. I think your friend will never forget you, if he keeps this picture. Brilliant.

Yes, I agree with Andrew, excellent! The way you've used shading to reflect the lighting, combining the wings, etc., gives quite a wonderful overall feeling to the image. Should you hear, I'd love to hear what your friend thinks of your contribution to his yearbook . That's a cool thing to do!

wow...the light and shade on that is awesome. Did you use sketching pencils to do that, or something else?

I sketched it out lightly in pencil first, then drew it over properly in pen.

Oh right, I was going to say, because I've tried that effect using just pencils before and it always seems to smudge and go wrong
