Numbers?

Nevertheless, watercolour work is the most interesting as far as textures go. They aren't bold precisely, but more.. soft, more with a not so "in your face" feel. I like it! Saker falcons :> you handle your art style very well.

Yeah, it's amazing how many of the structures you see every day can be reduced down to simple equations. For example, anything involving a cable hanging from two points (suspension bridges, power lines, etc.) can be described by a variety of hyperbola called a catenary curve (thus the title). Plus, graphs are fun to draw

Oh, and thanks! After clay, watercolors are probably my favorite medium; there's nothing else that looks quite like them.

Hey, I saw this on Serious Artists...

I really like the background, its very abstract and interesting! I especially like the muscial notes "hidden" at the bottom!

However, I noticed that the eye on the Falcon looked a bit too large, at first. I looked it up, and noticed that you actually did it correctly, but, I did notice that the eye might be a bit too low, either that, or the beak might be a bit too high. Either way, I'm no expert on birds, but, thats just my opinion! Also, the nostril looks a bit too round, and sticks out a bit too much. It might just be the reference, or that the bird is younger, and all these other factors, but, like I said, I'm really no expert on birds xD, hope my rambling helping with something!

Hi, thanks for the feedback!

I see what you mean about the eye being too low; I used a couple of different reference photos for this, but features seemed to vary somewhat from bird to bird, so I mixed and matched with some of the proportions. Honestly, the sketch was a little rushed anyway (I was in a hurry to start playing around with the paints), so I'm not surprised that the anatomy is a bit off.

Oh, and thanks for your comment about the background! It was loads of fun to paint, and I hope to do more like it in the future.

I like the soft shades of the water colors. Great picture. Wait, is that a hyperbola?

This is probably one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen you art. o.o
The concept is epic, the execution is phenomenal, and it just comes together so perfectly... the colors and textures work so well, I can't even imagine this in anything BUT watercolor now. Well done indeed :3

Aww, thanks! You always say such nice things that I have no idea how to respond...
It took maybe eight hours to make- I wasted an entire afternoon working on it. Scanner was courtesy of the Tech library's amazing computer lab.
(P.S. You want to talk tonight? I've been tied up all weekend with homecoming, but I'm free this evening.)

Aww x3 You're very welcome, you deserve the compliments.
Nice o3o I admire your patience XD And if I do end up going there, I'll definitely make use of epic scanners. I find out on November 18 whether I get in or not :U
And yeah, I'm down with that! Yeah, I was at the barn really late last night and basically fell asleep right after dinner >>;
