Thanks. One of my first UF images that I kinda knew what was going on. I probably should go back and see if I can make another one from the base image now that I've learned a lot more.

ah yes, that should prove very interesting, go for it ... I do the same actually I really should upload some stuff but I'm always so busy I keep putting it off, I will get around to it eventually though

I was browsing through your prints and came to see this, and the effect was ... wooooooow!!! Another great fractal of Aeires'!
I really like this and i find it to be somehow romantic, i don't know why, but this comes into my mind when i saw it. Great work as always!

Aeires In reply to ALP-Dreams [2005-04-03 01:29:02 +0000 UTC]

No problem, I feel that's one of my most romantic images. I love the victorian era, so when I saw all the flowery sections, it was only fitting to name it that. Glad you like it.

I think you picked my favor gradient combination period. Black and lighter midnightblue. As for the fractal its awesome and like the name has this victorian type feel too it. i jsut picked up uF and im in awe of your and others people work with it. its definently a tough cookie

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aeires In reply to MelonLogic [2004-10-29 01:26:52 +0000 UTC]

Yay, someone that agrees. I love this color combination. It's more deep than black and white which really brings out the tones better. And of course I'm a sucker for victorian influence art and architecture.

UF is a tricky lady, but well worth dating. I'm just a beginner by all standards, so it can be learned if you have the patience. With your fractal background, I'd say keep at it, you'll go far with it.

i think im presing the wrong buttons on her(uF) she gets mad and then i shut her out and go back to my ex apophysis

Aeires In reply to MelonLogic [2004-10-29 01:47:20 +0000 UTC]

What helped me was the day I realized it's set up similar to photoshop and the layers. The trick for beginners is to get a grasp on the layering techniques. Masking and mapping can come later, but layering is a must.

will try this weekend, thanks for the tip, until then i love apophysis

On the top, so simple. The details are amazing though! I love the faint black lines that look like vines, they actually remind me of the O in Opeth.

Thanks. I like that about this also. The 'vines' that weave in and out really kept me going on this one.

deloulark [2004-10-26 14:59:34 +0000 UTC]

Beautiful and subtle texture really sets this fractal off nicely. I love all the little flowery shapes entertwining throughout the middle. Great presentation, full view is a must!

Aeires In reply to deloulark [2004-10-28 04:11:21 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Still feel like a rookie with UF, but I was happy to find the right combinations to get the vines and floral pattern in this. I'm a sucker for the victorian influence.

areshi [2004-10-20 21:11:51 +0000 UTC]

it's so beautiful.. reminds me of flowers or butterflies..
and I still don't know how to make a fractal in UF

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aeires In reply to areshi [2004-10-20 21:32:49 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. A bit of both flowers and butterflies. That was one of the things I tried to capture in this image.

The trick to UF is the layers. Each layer adds new dimensions to the image, like the layers in photoshop can be manipulated. Hopefully the new group will help people out with the program [link] .

areshi In reply to Aeires [2004-10-20 21:41:25 +0000 UTC]

new group.. will see I'm learning UF from tutorials in it.. but I still don't know what each thing can do.. unfortunately there is no tutorial in polish and sometimes it's hard for me to understand what is what..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aeires In reply to areshi [2004-10-20 21:43:52 +0000 UTC]

We are in the process of making some tutorials. We don't want to duplicate what is already there, but are planning on having a bunch of visual representations of the tutorials that will help people see what is going on.

areshi In reply to Aeires [2004-10-20 21:55:49 +0000 UTC]

you really would like to have someone who doesn't know anything about UF in your group ? cause if yes I would like to become a member and tomorrow I could send you a note with a question but now.. goodnight (it's almost midnight here.. )

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aeires In reply to areshi [2004-10-20 21:58:48 +0000 UTC]

That's exactly the type of people we are looking for. Our goal is to try and demystify the program and show people how awesome it is. We currently have members from all ranges of experience.

I wasn't too sure when i looked at the thumbnail but what a beauty, the colouring is perfect for adding depth and the detail is superb

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aeires In reply to Darkangel764 [2004-10-20 19:59:47 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. I love doing black and white images and hadn't done one in a while, so I figured I better get onto one. This was a Newton, which I just started using, so I'm real happy with the small details in this.

closer-to-heaven [2004-10-19 14:38:02 +0000 UTC]

I'm envious.. *sigh* Is that ultra fractal a free program? If it is, I'm gonna download it, that's for sure..

That is a fabulous design!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aeires In reply to closer-to-heaven [2004-10-20 20:06:00 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. UF isn't free, but it doesn't cost much and is well worth it if you are thinking about getting it. You can download a trial version to give you an idea of what it can do.
