Whoa this is absolutely gorgeous, I love the emotion of this piece it looks so calming. I love the colors you chose, they're unique but look splendid together. I also love the pattern, (I believe thats henna???) on her arms looks gorgeous it adds nice detail to the picture, and i also love you did the hair really pulls the piece together. Beautiful, captivating and Breathtaking portrait amazing job! Keep up the good work!

Hi! I'm from ProjectComment. This is a truly beautiful piece with a perfect sense of movement and fluidity in a balanced composition, conveying some really complex emotions. The neutral colour scheme works really well for it, and gives the whole piece a feeling of calm. I'm not sure exactly how to describe how this artwork makes me feel, but it's sort of a mix of tranquil, tenderness, contemplation and bitterness. I love the line you put in the description, it sums the piece up much better than I could!

The technique used in this piece is also really refined - the variation in line width and the blending in the watercolour are fantastic. The background is a little rough but I wonder if that's what you were going for? Personally I think it looks fine the way it is.

I especially love the detail in the tattoos on her hand - is it henna? I like the subtle hints of colour but maybe they could be a little more vibrant to give more focus - especially to the hand near her face as this will bring focus to the face. You could also curve them so they follow the form of the hand, giving it more depth.

The face proportions are very close to accurate but I feel like there should be a little more space between the nose and the top lip. The inking of the hair is very well done but the form should follow the curve of the scull, I feel like it's too flat at the top of the head.

Well done on an excellent piece and I really hope this helps in some way!
