Description
So, my grandpa's birthday is coming up and I wanted to make him something speaical. I know he loves Sandhill Cranes (and he sort of adoptted a family, their wild, but he likes to feed them with corn kernels and bread when they fly into his backyeard), and so I came up with this painting.
The photo reference for the cranes are from photos I took when I was with him my last visit.

The poem is Chinese and it's from this site ([link] ). The translations (from the site) reads: "Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn is still dark" Interestingly, this is a philosophical poem/quote from Indian Poet and Philosopher, Rabindranath Tagore, but has been translated into Chinese.
Photoshop CS3 + Wacom + 6 hours.
