I have quite a bit of Amethyst, but this is my favorite piece. The rich violet hue and striations just draw me in, and the ragged cut makes it feel cool like ice!

Thanks! Yeah, I hadn't noticed until I took the pictures, but there's actually a band of very deep color in there. Kinda sad I hadn't noticed that before, lol

Aren't they? This is actually my ritual crystal; Hades picked it out from my collection. I actually hadn't even noticed it was there before, nor can I remember where I got it. Funny how you don't see the things right under your nose.

About the photo now, i think that amethyst is the most wonderful quartz variety.
And i'm not talking about jewelry.

I definitely agree. The fact that I don't know where it comes from makes it all the more perfect for its use.
And thank you! I do make jewelry, but I don't do lapidary work yet, just wire-wrapping. This piece, however, shall never be cut. <3
