Little white spots are diluted acrylic paint which I sprinkled with toothbrush.

Did you use the watercolors for the background? I did you do all the little swirls and textures in the background?

For background I used few layers of watercolor washes: I painted one layer, dropped salt over it, let it dry and removed the salt. Then I repeated the method. Lastly (after coloring the dragon) I spattered some white and light blue acrylics with toothbrush over the whole picture. So those swirls are result of watercolor and salt.

Ohhh, yes. I wasn't wrong when I said the colored version of this would be total eye-candy. Because it totally is!!! I love the colors of the dragon, how they fade from purple to blue. Dragon almost seems to be glowing!

wow I love how detailed this is, very pretty and very well done! I would say in the future for your background to refrain from using the same color as whats in your foreground as you loose the creature in it, an opposing color would of made this pop a lot more

Yep, she has a bit too similar colors than the background but as a floral dragon she may want to blend with her environment.

And yep, this took hours to finish because of details but I am also slow in drawing and coloring - I like to let drawings "sit" and ponder what colors would fit best.
