Naturally, if I had seen this, I would have given it a full 5 stars. But having seen some of you other work, I felt the need to greatly raise the bar. It appears to be very reminiscent of some of the other pieces from you that I love. I really enjoy the idea of the sun-image of her hair and the galaxy around it. It really is a gorgeous piece. But, with the standards I hold your work at, there are a few thing that could make this work perfect.
I feel like the angle that the arm is at is a bit forced and unnatural. This may be because I'm not seeing the other arm, but with the body having a slight angle it seems a bit strange to still show only one arm. The background also seems a bit blank. Maybe it could have used a bit more of the light wash that you did near the chin and back.
Overall, it is a beautiful work of art. But with many of your pieces being so very outstanding, it seems... a bit underdone.

When I first saw this artwork, I thought th character was Android 18 from the manga Dragon Ball Z.^^
Anyway, the drawing is such simple but certainly impressive. It It exudes a strong sense of uncertainty,hesitation and thinking behin the position and the gaze of the character.
What attracts me the most in your artwork is your techniques which has been marvelously used, especially on the face and the shirt. I love also how quite detailed are the strands of her hair.
However , I would have preferred to see a more work on the background to make the atmosphere more intense.

Most of your work has very cool colours, but this one is striking because of the bright ginger hair that stands out from the complementary colour blue, making her face glow and draws you into the picture. Your use of washes is brilliant as always - it adds refreshing rawness to the work making it more approachable to the viewer, if you like. You are generally skilled at portraying intense and focused facial expressions in your work, and here it is no different. I would try to avoid using thick prominent outlines especially in the arm to move closer to a soft realistic look.
Your work has evolved over time and now it seems you've found a style you are comfortable with and simultaneously a style that your viewers like, including myself. But I would also like to see something unusual and different from you, (frail lull is a perfect example of that). I think it would be a great treat for your viewers if you once in a while changed your colour palette from cool to very hot, from sad and serious emotions of your characters to happiness and excitement, from stillness to movement, from leaving a lot of white space to adding a background or many characters etc. The possibilities are limitless and I would be thrilled to see your talent branch out a bit.

Not many Artists or novice are confident and skilled enough to take on ginger hair, i love the colouring and translucence you have created. The warmth of her hair is balanced by the colder colours of her dress. I like the slenderness of the model and this is captured by the pronounced shoulder blades. The face illustrates an innocent deep thought and may be a prelude to a tear or two, thelook says to me she has accepted things albeit still sadened, great look. If i need to provide negative as much as positive, my initial view is the upper arm needs more shape, not to say your subject didnt have an arm such as you have depicted, it just looks (to me) needing of a little more shaping. All in all, again a stunning piece ! I really do love your style and colouring. Thankyou.

First, I'd like to say that it looks marvelous.
It's really quite beautiful. The facial features are both realistic and well-drawn, as well as the shirt and hair. The shading was done well, and I can clearly see emotion on the girl's face.
I do like the small white dots on her shirt. To me her shirt looks a bit like a group of stars on a dark night...
Probably the only thing I have to critique about is that stray orange spot near the girl's hair, and some stray watercolor paint at the edges of the hair. Otherwise I think it's amazing and mystical, for the most part! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="
