Your expression is perfect for this piece, a hardened look. I love the concept you have here, and as the previous person said, the mushroom cloud thing(being the secondary subject in the painting) should have more detail. I love the darkness at the top of the painting, it contrasts well with the cloud. I'm now most thoroughly a fan.

Hm. The mushroom cloud looking thing at the top center of the work - even though I think the pink works everywhere else, on that particular spot is clashes with the green - just feels like it needs more work in that area.

I'm quickly becoming your fan.

funky color palette, and in that pose you made you look like a saint
and I'm guessing there's some symbolic in the circular mirror

This is a very interesting piece. I really like it.

The pose, colours and choppiness of the portrait are reminiscent of byzantine frescoes and mosaics. The shape of the mirror even looks like a halo. Not sure if this was your intention, but it's neat.

You're welcome.

And we could all use some more practice. If, by some chance, an artist can no longer grow, shouldn't they retire?

i think in art, there has no such saying 'retire', unless you die. For some artist, even they died, but their art are still not retire yet, like Michaleangelo, Rembrandt, van Gogh, and so.

You're right. I meant, though, that I feel that if one can no longer grow through the creation of their art (not that I'm suggesting this ever really happens), then there may be no point in continuing to create.

maybe yes, for a short period, they should go to do some other things, and not necessary to stay with this line. But after some days, who knows, maybe they will found some dfft thingy, something new to put in their creation. some people said, art is life, i agree on that in a way. That is how i think.

I suppose so. There should always be some way to grow through creation, whatever form that creation may take.
