Coffee for me! The WIP was such a huge hit I figured you'd all probably like to see the finished product
except for all you tea drinkers. I, personally, love both. 
I hope the colors are alright, feel free to give suggestions, but I probably won't change too much. I changed the shape to be more geometric, smoothed the cup out, added some coffee beans, smoothed the whisps of steam...etc.
Hope you enjoy! Coffee house type deal, I'm making a print of it for my sister, and I have it as my desktop background...
maybe I like coffee a bit too much?

Lovely lovely lovely! Really great. I only have two suggestions, neither of which are hugely important. I might Make the bottom edge of the bottom of the cup defined in the shadow. It kinda looks like it's morphing with the table. I like that it's in shadow though, so maybe just a thin black line to show the darker part of the edge could work. Also, this is like beyond non-important, but I learned in drawing class that when you draw a circle that turns into an elipse to show something like a cup going back into space (like you have here) that the sides never get pointed. It's true, but it's crazy hard to draw! Just thought you might like that tip for future reference.
Anyway, now that I'm done babbling I'll say how nice it is again! <3 ! And now I must run off to school!!

I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here...the sides never get pointed? like at the sides where it reverses direction and heads back into the middle?

If you look at the inside edge of your cup, the rim, the edges by the handle and at the opposite end are slightly pointed. It's really hard to describe, but we learned in drawing that elipses always curve, never have a flat side, and don't have points on the ends. I'll have to show you sometime, but it's a handy tip. BTW I really like your icon. You did really well with that too!

That's debatable.
I was hoping it would be...it was supposed to be sort of painty like my cheese painting... something to hang on a wall possibly, though this took far longer than my cheese painting.

When I first saw this picture I thought it was a GIGANTIC towering cup of coffee and the little beans were worshipping it like a volcano ready to erupt. Then I clicked on it and realized my brain does crazy things sometimes.

Well, you never do know until you try! ^__^ I try to push myself beyond my comfort level on a lot of my pieces, try new things... it's how I learn what I'm good at and what I need more work at.
