Watercolor painting of the Vaquita Porpoise - the most endangered cetacean in the world.
The vaquita (Phocoena sinus) the world's smallest cetacean is in imminent danger of extinction. As of today the entire living vaquita population is estimated to be fewer than 30 individuals. (mid 2017)
Please spread the word about the plight of the little vaquita - they are in dire need of help.
Extinction is forever.

Beautiful picture of beautiful creatures. I sure hope they can be saved... ;n;
I recently made a lame attempt to draw one and briefly mentioned their plight...
...but now, I've made a journal entry featuring this picture, to try to help a tiny bit...

Aw Darkling! I think there is hope, it's all about the humans.
Your effort was not lame! Anything that spreads awareness helps. I honestly don't think I'll be able to raise much money though art, and I was feeling pretty lame, (Artist making money, whaaa!?) but since I released this image onto the web I have talked to a staggering amount of people who had no idea the vaquita even existed. (I even got an "Ooo, what kind of fish are these?" LOL ♥)
Thank you for sharing the message! If we pump as much information and imagery into the public eye maybe it will hit a mark.
