Description
'...Is a friend indeed.'
Chapter 2 - Part 1
The return of magic denotes repercussions for all citizens of Moren Ezen, and every rider must face challenges and make often difficult choices to decide the direction their story takes within the world. Your character’s initial experiences and responses to magic’s return will set the course of their journey as the story progresses, and this is what the first phase of Chapter Two will focus on; to decide how they will move forward with the certainty of magic. Do they accept it, or shun it? Will they - can they - stay where they are, with the people they know, or will their journey take them elsewhere? Do they seek answers, adventure, or refuge? Have the experienced any of the events depicted on the Living Map, or something else?
With a huff, Pana heaved her fifth roll of felt unto the pile.
One tent down, another to go.
There were tired, worried faces all around her, some obscured by piles of belongings as they scurried about to pack. The tribe had been up since dawn. Barely anyone was awake when the ground shook and a sea of rock crashed suddenly past the timber line. Not to mention the plume of smoke that revealed itself as the sun rose. No lives were lost that night, though some bones have surely been broken. The thought of it pulled her out of focus, and she struggled to get it back. Out of habit-though only recently practiced-she looked around for Teo.
Her brother hung about quietly next to their mother, passing tools when she needed them to help peel off parts of the tent. Only Pana could see past his show of normalcy that he was neither fully here nor elsewhere. He caught her stare and gave her a weak smile, before returning what little focus he had on his task. She wondered when she would have to tend to him again.
But how to hide it in the open? In the midst of all this half-chaotic scrambling, she'd nearly forgotten about the requirements of their burden.
That terrible light...But the same light that- Her thoughts were interrupted by a trumpeting whinny from Guita, who, until the noise, stood in quiet vigil beside her. Pana tapped the mare's shoulder before lifting up another bundle, but Guita called out again, and a familiar voice cried out in return.
"Pana!"
Pana whirled around to see a familiar pair speeding towards her, nearly clipping a tribesman in the process. Will pulled Hallow to a stop just before her, worry plain writ across his face. "Please-" He managed, short of breath. "I need help."

A collaboration between me and TheInfiniteChaos for Moren-Ezen 's Living Story!
I sketched out the scene and painted the background while Neen made absolutely wonderful work of our characters. Feast your eyes on all that detail!
Also no I don't write too well but I hope the little snippet wasn't cringe.
