The last ruling countess of House Noirvyne, Isabel was a ruthless woman who had little interest nor tolerance for anything beyond her concerns. Tempered by her family’s past ties with The Hand, she was ensnared by its charms at a young age and eventually proved herself as one of its shrewdest supporters during the Fall of Raleigh, long unknown to many to have been partially orchestrated by her hand... at the expense of her matriarchal, if not amiable, relationship with the young woman, Shaelyn, her desired heiress.

It’s been well over a month since I’ve drawn something I can confidently say I’m happy with. I don’t know whether it’s simply because I’ve been lethargic towards anything creative of late, or whatever. The good news is this wasn’t the case with Isabel’s design here, and I had a lot of fun drawing things I haven’t before, like a masquerade mask and even the roses; both having strong connections to the lady’s history and character. Her mask especially is symbolic with her connections to The Hand, where they are never truly revealed throughout much of the story. In this sense she is alike an emissary to them, dining with their enemies as a supposed ally, all the while pulling their naive strings to advance her own ambitions. So to this end even The Hand has been given force to wonder whose side she is on, knowing her goals do not coincide with theirs... sometimes.
