Description
I wanted to do a drawing of the four hobbits together. My friend Periantari on LJ recommended this picture to me, and I thought it would be perfect to do.

I have never really done a scene in pencils, so this was a great experiment, and I had lots of fun doing it. Pippin (bottom right) looks perfect to me. Sam (top right) looks alright; it took me quite a while to get his face, because the original position of his head just looked odd in the actual photo. I'm also happy with Merry (bottom left), though his arm may be a millimeter or two too long. Frodo (top left) looks alright. His face isn't directly on, but the photo was small and at the least, he's still recognizable.

The background was not part of the original plan for this picture, but in the end it came. I actually like it quite a bit; those figures are pretty much the same figures you can see in the actual screencap.

Used Derwent Graphic pencils; probably touched all of them at one point, but used a lot of 9B, 6B, B, and 4H. Took wayyy too long to complete XD Well, twas fun.
