Description
Selene Sestina is a major character, and lead heroine, in my large-scale Cross-Over [Muv-Luv Alternative and Armored Core] Fanfic, "Project: Ignition" (found on Fanfiction.net ([link] )).

She's a kind, if quiet girl, who is almost always with the main character, Adler Vermil. She acts as a foil to him-- kind, considerate, and caring- a direct contrast to the selfish jerkass that is Adler. Curiously, while Adler may be a downright jerkass to just about everyone, he's extremely kind and caring to her- outright stating "She's the only person in the entire world who he cares about". The two have known each other since their childhood days in Anatolia and are shown to be extremely close- but are not actually in a romantic relationship, despite what everyone else may think. Adler repeatedly takes offense to people suggesting that he should marry her (a common enough occurrence!) and has stated on numerous occasions that she's practically his sister. Of course, no matter the nature of their relationship, the fact is that they share a bond deeper than friendship.

As Special Operator, Selene acts as Operator for Adler, but actually deploys with him on missions- unlike other Operators such as Cristoph, acting as an aide for piloting their NEXT, Zephiris (later Zephiris-F). NEXT Zephiris is a lightning-fast NEXT armed with Blades- it can cut down other NEXTs or BETA with ease.
