Description I don't have much to say about this guy as I didn't watch many shorts with him (I may have seen about one or two when I was a kid, as far as I can remember). All I know about him is that he's a Southern rooster. And... quite a huge rooster. He's even bigger than a dog. Still, it was fun to draw him, as it is with majority of LT characters.

Next character to draw:

Holy crap, Dad, is that you? How on earth do you know my father? No, but kidding aside, it's kind of the joke in my mother's family that my father is Foghorn Leghorn. My mother comes from the Northeastern US while Dad is from the South and they find him loud and obnoxious (my grandmother especially did not like him, but then again she disliked anybody her children settled down with without exception) so that's where that nickname came from. So if my father is Foghorn, I wonder if that makes me Fowlmouth from Tiny Toons then Well, I do actually have a problem with swearing a lot in real life to go along with the big mouth...WOW! After all these years I finally figured out what cartoon character I actually am

But joking aside yeah I remember Foghorn pretty well (I remember his constant encounters with the baby chicken hawk who wanted to bring him home for dinner). His name is definitely meaningful because he has a huge mouth (although real foghorns serve a useful purpose-after all they are designed to warn ships away from land and danger in foggy weather where their crews can't see) As I recall I think the Warner Bros. animators based him off a Southern politician character from some contemporary radio series who similarly ran his mouth off a lot and was called "Cleghorn" but it's been a long time since I remember reading that so don't quote me on it! Southern characters do get stereotyped a lot in American media usually because they're the butt of jokes among the rest of the country...I do admit, while the accent is quaint I think it can be difficult to understand at times since many Southern accents are rather thick. Plus as someone who is Southern themselves, you stick out like a sore thumb when you travel/visit/move to other places where the accent is uncommon!

He's not my favorite Looney Tunes character but I say-I say, boy!-he is one of the more memorable ones. Although I'm pretty sure if any chicken grew as big as him they'd be in the Guiness Book of World Records for sure (considering he is the size of a full-grown human!) Nice sketches of everyone's favorite redneck chicken
