Sometimes...

You have to be your own best friend.

Sometimes...

You have to reach out to yourself.

Take your own hand.

And lead the way.

No matter how much you dislike yourself.

No matter how frightening it feels.

No matter what obstacles there are to overcome.

And no matter what anyone else thinks.

Because sometimes...

The only person that can lead you out of the darkness...

And into the light...

Is YOU.

This has been art therapy and creating it has helped me put some things to rest and gain a greater understanding of peace. My life is very hectic and stressful and just recently nearly fell to pieces. But, it's ok now...because among all the other friends and loved ones that reached out to me, I also have myself. So, I'm no longer alone. =3
