This is my entry for the contest is holding. The theme was roses/chocolate.I really love the manga Skip Beat because of the main character, Kyoko. She's definitely not the typical shoujo female protagonist that you would expect. This is to dedicate my love for the manga x)
I love how Ren's face came out. I thought he was going to be the hardest to do cuz I can't draw older men x) but it came out fine. However, I drew his body way too skinny/small for his original body built which is a shame :Q I know it doesn't look like Kyoko, but this is my version of her. Her hair color was a bit hard to mix.
Anyway, I didn't exactly love how it came out. I could have put Kyoko closer to Ren, so that it depicts a loving scene =x= And I messed up on the rose Dx But overall, I do like it~

I like the style of the art it reminds me a bit about vampire kinght. Esepecially Ren's expression.

oh, from clamp? No, actually lol. They do draw very beautiful characters and artwork though. But I don't read a lot of clamp to get inspirations

let's see..... dengeki daisy is a popular manga, but I think I was a lil influenced by it and also kaicho wa maid-sama. Lol, I take it back, i meant other popular mangas haha. But if I think about it, I get a lot of inspiration from DA members here. For example, *cherriuki ~Kyatto-san *cartoongirl7 and =Maevachan . Their works are amazing and I admire them for being so talented and amazing. The main inspiration actually came from them and it allowed me to quickly improve :3

actually, I haven't planned on making a manga at all haha. Well, I did when I was young (when my art were still crappy x)) and the world of manga influenced me so much. But recently no because I realized that I just love to draw as a hobby

I did~. I even drew out the pages, BUT since I was young and didnt know how mangas work, the individual pages have so many boxes lol. Its like a regular 2 page manga on one page LOL.

i don't particularly have a least favorite D: I might have liked the art, but the story line isn't really interesting and so forth.

Okay. Do you have any example on a series that you read and got dissapointed on?

No....there's so many mangas I read, it's hard to pinpoint some that I get disappointed on cuz I don't remember the title. If I keep reading a series, it's most likely because I like them. Even if there are some parts of the manga that I wish didn't really happen, that wouldn't mean that I dislike the manga as a whole. If I see that a series is boring on the first few chapters, I don't keep reading it (and those are titles I forget). So, Im not sure if I can answer that question lol.
But I were to mention a manga (or manhwa) it will be one of the manhwa from Hwang Mi Ri. I forgot the title but it was about 3 brothers liking one girl. Apparently she ended up with one of the guy that wasn't really my favorite, and I wanted her to end up with the other guy lol. So I guess I was disappointed about that series in a way (although it was pretty good)

I dislike serais that are to long and complex. For example Sailor moon and pokemon. I liked them in the begining but it has become so complicated stories you get a headace.

lol that's very true. That's the reason why I didn't continue watching pokemon after the battle frontier. I like the first three seasons best x3. Have read one piece before? It's really good. Although it's long, the storyline just gets you hooked (truthfully, I wouldn't want it to end cuz I'll be sad haha)

True and i have been following Naruto. I wonder if he and Hinata becomes a couple in the end? I have seen some of the One piece anime and looked at a few of the pocket books. But i'm not following it in like i do with skip beat.

I agree - his face and expression turned out great! It's the first thing i noticed about this picture!
Though I also like her expression! The picture has a lovely atmosphere. Idk doesn't exactly "burst" with romance and still you can sense there's something in the air - it seems rather delicate!
The colouring is lovely too; the curtains and the sky!
