I find black horses SO difficult to draw.It's okay to roughly sketch them but as soon as I try to get detailed it looks terrible

mmmm what I love about your painting is that you aren't afraid of those black or really dark areas where no unneccessary detail is crammed in - i think that gives your work a certain something, really enjoy your painterly but soft style!

Yes I like the contrast between areas with lots of details and areas with almost no details.
It helps focusing on special parts of the drawing I guess :'D
