I SO love Kraken ^^. I know, I'm insane.
This is so true, though. He is the line that runs between love and hate--and maybe insanity, too ^^. But we all still love him, right? Right! *hugs her Kraken-sama*I am wanting to throw in some white rather than all black like he usually dresses in... Maybe I should color his trench-coat white... Hmm...
What do you guys think: is Kraken more of a demon or an angel? Such a strange question... Buuut...it's a necessary one when considering his character. Each person has their own opinion about him. Some hate him, some love him; some see him as evil, while others regard him as simply misunderstood. You decide ^^.

Dramatic. That's definately a good word you could use to describe Kraken ^^. He's veeery dramatic. Blows everything out of proportion (when he's in his silly mood, that is; when he's more evil he's pretty stoic). And since I created the Gatekeepers to fit in every animated style, they can basically be intorduced anywhere and under any circumstances. It's what makes them so much fun X3!

Beautiful as always honneh. Kraken looks good! *pats his head and gives him a cookie* ^___^ I think the white trenchcoat would work rather well. Especially since Kraken doesn't seem really to be either angel or devil....but rather in the "misunderstood" category. So the white coat on an "evil" charry suits that persona. In my opinion anyways. I can't wait to see him in color. ^____^

Yeah; he's uaually like this--calm, collected, but gives off some suspicious vibes like any second he's going to rip you to shreds... Which he will do, mind you... So keep watch...and don't make eye contact...or you'll regret it...

But a 'demon' is an angelic force that serves Lucifer (aka Stana/Devil/etc). And Kraken does not serve Lucifer any longer. He did for a short time, though.

Aaaanyways...as you might have supposed, 'Kraken' is a word sailors used when referring to sea monsters, like the Leviathan, etc. I created Kraken, Brooklyn, Levi, Jolt, Ashur, and Tremor when I was around 13. I had named everyone 'cept for Kraken and was looking desperately for a name which suited him like it did so well all the others. Nothing seemed to fit. I tried everything, but nothing worked. Nothing reverberated the horrific vibes I wanted people to sense when hearing his name whispered as I so longed. Then, while watching a weird show on Discovery Channel, I heard it: the name that would staple the dark angel into existence--Kraken. I don't know how to explain what made the name burst from the screen as it had. I don't know why he was meant to carry the title, for he is no sea creature, and certainly not of the water element, but nevertheless, the name belonged to him. So was born the fallen angel known as Kraken, the symbol of the secular world, evil, and darkness... So...that's the story behind his name.
He got his name, in my multiple series (for he, Brooklyn, and the other Gatekeepers never change really), from way back when he was still just a child (and an angel). He and Brooklyn were wrestling around in the Fields of Grace as usual, but they got a little more rowdy and Brooklyn accidentally knocked his twin into the River of Life (at this time everyone but Kraken had a name; except for Jolt, but he wasn't born yet
All of that will be explained, though.

Thanks. I do try to give each character their own, uniqe sense of history, and Kraken is my most complex character--ever. He will always be my favorite, maybe because I have such love and sympathy for what he stands for.
