Hola everyone! The first of a bunch of Christmas gifts I will be uploading.
Tis the season...Here is my entry for *Raxion 's Chroma Snow Secret Santa/Contest! This is =Kallicalico 's Lenore and Sam, who were also participants in Oberon's Garden.
When looking through Kalli's gallery, I knew immediately that I had to do Lenore. Not only cause I was already familiar with the character, but also because I love her character design, and her past is really sad.
Poor Len Len...The concept here is, on Christmas Eve night, Lenore becomes very lonely because she remembers the happy Christmas's she spent with her old boyfriend. (Who betrayed her.) I can see her trying to conjur up the image of that happy time and it only making her more upset. At least she has Sam to help cheer her up.
Oh, and I DID change the color of her boots, mostly on purpose... I forgot to draw in her belt, and without it there was nothing else brown in the pic to match her boots, so I decided to make them black like her hair.
I hope that wasn't too blasphemous...

I love it, because I can relate. I got unexpectedly dumped at the end of an especially fancy date... I'm over it now, because it was last July, but I do really miss having a girlfriend. Break-ups leave a huge hole in your life.

It is really difficult to pick a favourite from your pieces but I think one of the things I like the most about your work is the colour work you do: both the technique and the choice. You've got it real downpat which I am just so envious of
Also I adore how you've drawn the girl's expression, there's a strong emotional connection between the viewer and the image even though it's not particularily bold or in your face. You've very successfully captured interest without making it look obvious and false.

The "magic" is expressed so nicely here; it would be so hard to express such an abstract and lineless element with markers @_@

You've crafted a beautiful and melancholy mood here. Her expression is one of anger, sadness, and hurt, all captured at the same time. The color is also gorgeous and rich. Wonderful!
