Description uh... is this in the right category? I assume "tableware" means plates and pots and stuff, so I went with that...? @n@

anyways, Ceramics project was to make a teapot. As usual, I just started winging it.
And it turned into a snail xD
The teapot is almost fully functional, it's only problem is when it gets almost full, it starts leaking water out the spout. But otherwise, it works C:
The sand area around the bottom of the shell forms a foot for the pot.

Colors of glaze used are sand for the body, light green for the shell and.... some darker shade of green (chrome?) for the handle and accents on the lid. That part fired weird (there are bubbles and stuff) because apparantly I painted the glaze on too thickly (no one told me you can paint glaze too thick |: ).

Brian named this guy Killdozer.

This is awesome. Cool idea! You should consider a series. Maybe tea cups to go with it.

haha I was thinking about it! Maybe with ladybugs or something on them~
I have to do a hand-wheel combo for my next project (you throw something on the wheel, then add to it with handbuilding techniques), so I might very well make a couple teacups x3

Can you boil water in it?

Well, it has a foot and is glazed on the inside, so theoretically, yes.
I'm too scared to actually try it though xD;

Yeah, she was. I had to transfer schools because during a fire drill I freaked out and she grabbed my arm and left like twist burns on it D:

I love the concept behind this. C: So, if I accidentally leave this guy in my Mom's garden, will he devour all the hasta plants? (;

I don't know, he might!!
assuming the hole in his face is a mouth and... not a nostril or something.

Hehe, that is such a cute idea!!

And, even if it only holds some water, it's better than nothing ((and, you do indeed have the right category ))

that's true! I was pleasantly surprised it held as much water as it did! (others' in the class did not work out so well)

I'm not a big fan of teapots myself, but I know a lot of people who are.

Never seen someone actually use a teapot though xD
