This is just awesome! It gives such an imposing figure, I can only pity the poor souls who had to contend with her during her conquest of Two Rivers.

Hope you don't mind me not waiting for you to contact me. Someone linked to this and I thought it was really neat! It even has the scars around her eyes and the hastily-cut-short mane! I'm really quite pleased that Arsenic, who had been talked about before in TPC but never had a single scene until just now, went over quite well with readers. Now I sort of want to see one with her alongside her descendants, too, but perhaps that should wait until after TPC's climax...

I wanted to go the snakes-for-a-mane route, which I think is what you were referring to, but I couldn't figure out how to portray that with them being shorn, so I just went with a choppy hair style. Ah well.

Oh. I suspected as much, but couldn't be sure.
She's cutting the mane short to preempt them completing the metamorphosis into snakes (or snake-like hair). This is fine. It is all also in keeping with the fact that Arsenic was not the "pretty" or even classically fair daughter (that was Ruthenium III who became Blue Belle).
