One of my favorite ships.  Is she from the Axanar era, TOS era or the "A" era?  I get conflicting timeframes on when she was in service.  Here she looks like the Axanar era, close to the TOS.

Enterprise Era, 2157. Although the ship class continues all the way to TOS era (up to pre-TWOK).

Although, I would say that the Yorktown is the modern Starfleet vessel that we come to know, not the NX refit.

It doesn't make sense to tear down a prototype and make it bigger. I would simply build a prototype of the said refit.

Plus, the refit of the NX neck is just questionable, it is too thin for its time. I prefer the Yorktown neck, it made sense in engineering terms and practical since it is ERW, and Enterprise Era ships hull aren't as good as TOS era.

Thank you.  I would have thought it premiered much later like as an engineering competitor to the Constitution class but it might be be too much effort to build at the time so they chose the Constitution as a cheaper, less complicated alternative in an engineering design competition between the two.  I had hoped EAGLEMOSS Collectibles would release a mini-model of this YORKTOWN-class, even as a 'special' release like they did with the "Andrew Probert's Prototype Ambassador-class".  I got two of that model;  One to display and one to save in package.  It is such an awesomely detailed model.

I can't find the article, but one toy model company did planned on releasing ships found in Star Trek Legacy, like the Poseidon, Vulcan Surak, etc, I don't know what happened to them. I just can't find an article.

There were only a few that I am aware of.  EAGLEMOSS COLLECTIBLES has released the largest collection of mini-models, with die-cast metal and some high-grade resin parts.  There were previously some Johnny Lightning STAR TREK mini ships and then there were some HOT WHEELS brand small ships too, both out about the same release time.  The Johnny Lightnings were very good, and the newer EAGLEMOSS are true artisan creations with amazing detail, especially for such small models
