The thought was really to do something for a doujinshin from the start. This part would be where she talks to Nicole about Sonic and she says something like: "Sigh! I suppose there's nothing to do about it. It's just the way he is."

Same here. It's easy to be smart aftersomething has happened. But it doesn't matter, it's not like it's THAT obvious.
