"Oh you know I care in my own ways, like you do about the company once a year"
points finger at Alan to change the subject
"Hey by the way I like the random bailouts from jail, I know its you"

True. The other thing you have to think of, (thought of this while painting of all things) is the fact that Clu must have not thought the whole bit of Alan in the Grid through. I mean, what would happen to Rinzler when he saw Alan, who looks just like him?

Saw it! I love Loki! He's more of an evil created by his surroundings more than anything. Poor guy. And he's cute too!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Alebireo In reply to LesliexBurkesxStars [2011-05-08 13:23:38 +0000 UTC]

Depends if he keeps Rinzler in check it may need to be direct contact with Alan that is needed like touch to activate his memory and unlock the Real program

Clu just knew Alan to be the only one at that time Kevin would risk his life for. (Because CLU was created before Sam was born so the memory he has is of Alan being Kevin’s most important, loved and cherished friend, not to mention the SOB created TRON XD. . .

[I’m Norwegian/Viking any time I can be proud of my blood instead of hide it is always a plus for me]

Oh I looooove Loki <3 he is so sweet and cute (HOT! Is the best way to put it XD he is the God of Fire after all) I use to be a Thor Girl now I favor Loki (And I sympathize with him the most, call it a personal connection) I mean seriously that movie is eye candy XD I like swashbuckler Fandral also (Robin Hood the Shield Agents call him)*Loki saved his life*

Loki is not evil (Everyone labels him EVIL because hes the villian) Hes AntiHero He performs some evil actions, not the least of which is the murder/attempted murder of innocents and even his own brother.
Each of these actions is motivated by a desire to impress his father: to get the love and respect from Odin that he always deserved but was always given to Thor.

Not to mention his mental stability plays a huge role in his actions when he is immune to the Frost Giants touch. Loki’s plans turn a bit south after the truths about his own origins are revealed by Odin that leaves him shaken, and with a feeling of betrayal by the father he loves so dearly , never told him the truth that Loki is not even human/Asgardian [He is the Son of a Frost Giant but he was born Asgardian but that is not explained to Loki because Odin was KO’D]

He has an emotional breakdown (Understandably so) Loki’s emotions affect his powers also making him far more destructive, that why he must stay cool, calm and collected otherwise he might do something he might regret but he doesn’t actually mean to do the things he does, as seen at the end When Loki is holding onto Odin and his brother, his true self had come back and he knew what he did was wrong and at that moment felt the gap between himself and them (His Family) become that of shame on himself and who he is, Loki sees himself as an unforgivable monster. . .what would his Brother say if he found out what he was, Thor still didn’t know why Loki went off the deep end so he didn’t get the chance to show Loki what he really meant to him except in his tears, But Loki knew Thor did not know what his brother was if he did he knew Thor would hate him and never accept him hell Loki couldn’t accept what he is either (Loki’s own mind is his enemy) but it is clear that the two brothers do indeed love each other, which serves to only amplify the tragedy of Loki letting go.
(To punish himself for being so stupid to what’s in front of him)

Though at the end of the movie Credits you get to see Loki had an unexpected detour (He didn’t die like he wanted to) and he Landed on Earth (Rather roughly mind you) His face is bruised badly on one side and he looks like he’s lost his God damn mind (Must have been the landing that scrambled things in his head) *But I guess we always suspected Loki is Bipolar* [I know it Breaks Thor’s heart to see his brother so broken, not to mention Loki had turned himself into what everyone had always expected of him, now he wears his pain as his mask and becomes the sins of the gods the mirror of their misdeeds he is their punishment for their arrogance]

Only Thor can save him now before its too late and his brother is lost forever

I'm a nerd XD and a sucker for Tragedy

That is a good point. He is indeed a powerful SOB, being Tron's User and all that.

He isn't even that bad of a guy! I mean, I agree w/ you on everything. He just wanted to be loved as an equal, which he never was. He even said he never wanted to be king.

I missed the post-credits bit, and was so pissed at myself when I found out about it! I have to see it again, because, in all honest, insane Loki must look extremely Goddamn hot. X)

Clu: Ok programs this guy is on the grid, He wrote the security Program, You are NOT to harm him. Anyone who violates this Order will be derezzed *Walks to video panel* Alan Bradley lets see how you do on the Grid

Loki is pure of heart meaning when darkness starts to swallow his heart it is visible, but his heart can be saved, its damaged pretty badly.

But he is a good guy( he does things that save other people’s lives while damning his own)

you also pay attention to the Frost Giants bit, he said he never planned for them to even make it to Jottunheim, that he told the guard to tell his father about them leaving to have a word with the Frost Giants. He was angry because the Guard was lazy and informed Odin far too late and they were already on the Frozen planet (Loki’s plan backfired) he didn’t want to get Thor sent away he just wanted his Father to see Thor was not ready to be king. Instead Loki got Thor in trouble and well I guess you could say Loki’s punishment was finding out he’s actually the son of the Frost King Laufey (Who he ashed royally in Odin’s chambers) I call that Karma

Oh yes when I stayed to the end I was like, Come on where’s Loki, then the guy turns to look in the glass reflection and Loki is standing next to him and turns his head to the Camera so you can see how messed up he is.

He is very HOT! (He looks hell bent on revenge)

I can’t wait to see him in Avengers (They just started Filming this week)
Tom Hiddleston who plays Loki gave a little hint about Loki’s roll “Not only Thor will be after him but it will take many to stop Loki this time” he also said Loki will still be the Antihero with a broken heart, and Thor is going to need to save more than just Earth but his brother as well that he failed to do at the end of the Thor Film

(I have that Image of Thor Crying when Loki lets go of the spear)
Well any who DAMN I CAN’T WAIT FOR AVENGERS NEXT YEAR!
*Starts digging for money to go see Thor in IMAX 3D again*

Yeah, "Remember, DO. NOT. TOUCH."
Somehow, I can imagine him saying that. Like he's acting as if he was talking to a kid.

He is just a good guy with twisted intentions. He never really meant to hurt anyone, as you said, and it's just everything he tried to do backfired.

Saw Thor again the day after I saw it the 1st time, and stayed to the end! I practically screamed when I saw 'Thor will return in AVENGERS' and I did scream when I saw Loki. He looked so beat up, though that might've been from his fight with Thor. And he does look hell-bent, and a little off the deep end.

They also said he'll have learned a lot by the Avengers. Because, after all, you can't get sucked into a wormhole of your own making without getting a little smarter.

I never got to see it in 3D....Damn.

Oh, and I've taken a liking to Fandral. Everytime I see him, I think, DC should make a Green Arrow movie, and he should be Oliver.

Yep Clu wagging finger at them “This man is our ticket out of here, No touchy”

Yeah just seen Thor again today twice in row XD (Did you notice also at the End credits Loki’s armor was heavily damaged, and bent out of shape) his brother did not do that to him (Because when Loki let go of Thor Loki’s armor was in tact
Once you go IMAX 3D you never go back, it blows my mind

Well yes Loki is smart he adapts, he knows Earth better than Thor or the Gods (You can tell my his presence on Earth when he was wearing clothes from Earth to blend in. I think he is a hell of a lot smarter now and a little more crazy, I also think that since When it shows Jane and company at the ned scrambling to go catch another Light show that’s when Loki lands. . .and probably starts stalking Jane and plotting how to mess with everyone but also stay quiet while he heals

Fandral is awesome, I think I’m going to make his costume for some conventions, (I’m making Loki’s casual Prince robes just because I like them) But I wish to blow some minds myself as Fandral, I’m naturally blond, blue eye’d and love putting on facial hair, Oh and I have damn good Idea for his sword.
Oh yes Green arrow, sadly I think if Green arrow was Marvel it would have been made and DC and Marvel don't cross actors

As for Fandral the guy who plays him was hired a day before shooting because all the other actors pulled out. THE MAN won my heart with his portrayal of Fandral, he also American XD same with Sif

LesliexBurkesxStars In reply to Alebireo [2011-05-12 03:13:48 +0000 UTC]

Because, knowing Clu, if they disobeyed... They die. It's quite simple if you think about it.

Did not notice the armor... I was too busy staring at his face...

He adapt a lot faster than the others too. And he looked extremely hot in Earth clothes. He'd fit right in, though people would feel the urge to fall to their knees around him... XD

I wish DC and Marvel crossed actors. He'd be amazing.

I heard that they did that. Read it on wikipedia. He makes an awesome Viking, despite being American. But the Gatekeeper was awesome too, and he was black. They have very mixed races for vikings there... Not that I'm complaining.

Loki with his true form showing was somehow hot too, despite none of the other giants being all that attractive...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Alebireo In reply to LesliexBurkesxStars [2011-05-12 07:53:33 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah, Clu also behaving nice Alan would be Hilarious!

Oh yeah that’s why I noticed the Armor only after the 4th time I seen it, I was always like, THAT MAN is sooo attractive he has no idea. I would gladly Run into his arms any day!!!!

Oh yes Loki on Earth, very sexy indeed, he showed Thor that he had already learned how to live on Earth and blend in with Society and to put himself under the radar of Asgard

Oh his Frost Giant form is not his True form, his True form is what you see in Asgard, he was born Asgardian but is nothing like the Frost Giant he’s just A god who is immune to the Frost Giants unlike the other god who if touched freeze and die.

Loki was born a normal child, normal skin color normal eyes, When he is touched by his father he turns into the hybrid. That’s also how you know king Laufey was the one to leave him in the temple to die.
Odin felt the child’s presence and went to the temple and heard a baby crying, Laufey had throw his Newborn son away because he thought he was born a runt, turns out that was not the case. The Child was born a God. Odin picked him up And the baby shown him his true form because he felt safe with Odin who was Warm unlike his surroundings.
Loki’s true self is not his Frost Giant form its his real form he grew up with.

Also Laufey never named his son, Odin gave him the name Loki and even left his family mark on the name.
L= Hope water Renewal O=The house of Odin, the inherited title and birthright of a god of first generation Ancestral heritage aka Royalty (He can only receive this title if he is indeed Asgardian and Genetically linked to the Royal Family in blood making him a prince of Asgard despite being Adopted, because Odin knows the boy to have the blood of the All fathers because he can sense it in his blood the moment he touched him)Odinson . K= The element Fire (That is Loki’s Element he was born Fire-why he’s not A frost Giant) knowledge of kings and Earth. I= Ice and cosmic coherence (The man who holds the universe together)

Loki thinks himself a monster , yes he inherited Frost Giant genetics , he’s pure Frost Giant by his father but his mother was unknown, In some Legends she is a giantess, but the legend actually say nothing of his mother, who is a mystery, though they have hinted Loki’s mother Was a Goddess whom Laufey held captive against her will (It was said she might have been The goddess of Earth and water who watched over mankind, she was weak and slender)

If this is true she might have been part Frost Giant or full, But King Laufey had two sons with another Before her, Nal I think was a virgin Goddess so you can guess what happened to her. She had one son, who was Born the same way the All fathers were, and that had not happened since Odin’s Birth (Odin’s mother and Father were both Giants) so that means either Way Loki was born a first Generation God, higher than even Thor but equal to Odin.

Loki is a complicated fellow, he does not know what chaos his blood can bring.

And Alan would just be like 'WTF?'

He is a big show off in that concept, but I can totally understand where he's coming from. He's been over-shadowed by his brother for so many years, that he needs a few moments to prove that he can be better than Thor.

...I think my brain fused with all that info. He is incredibly, volcanically hot right now.

He just looked like a Frost Giant when Odin picked him up, but if his mom was a goddess, it makes sense. He was a 'runt' after all. And he kept his Asgardian form everytime.

Any background, playing a viking is hot in any aspect.

I didn't know he was Anglo-American. What an interesting little factoid.

I have viking in my blood too. I'm like 1/4 Norwegian, so it's fun!

Yeah, you have to have a black viking per movie. Just how it goes. XD

I'll believe it! It sounds like fun!

I've seen pics with him as a blond, but that may have been for a movie. He has amazing black hair! It makes him look evilly hot in some way.

Must be because he's never fully a frost giant. You can still see Loki right there. And the red eyes...Somehow extremely attracting. *Chills*

Tom Hiddleston Gods I love the man---he plays Loki

He too went insanely in depth with Loki and literally became him, he sat in his apartment for weeks studying all the Thor comic books and old Norse Mythology (Helps the guy is A comic book junkie in the closet) that he also has personal emotions put into Loki that are a lot of his own, The personal struggles that he had been through when he was growing up and struggling with his own identity into who he is now. “In a way Loki is me, I’m also damaged and a little crazy, I put a lot of myself into his creation his feelings and emotions”

On His hair It is naturally very blond and fiercely curly. The “abuse factor” on his hair he noted when he is playing Loki “Oh yes they plucked My eyebrows within an inch of their lives.” They went with Black hair with ash tone roots (Noticed in the movie his hair is actually two dif colors it’s like volcanic ash at the base of the scalp and fades to cold black)

He said he approached the Loki character in a drastically dif way than in the comics that portray him as purely Evil. He wanted to give him moral ambiguity, Loki is a misunderstood hero, and all of his credentials as a bad guy come from a psychological complexity, and from the fact that he feels like he doesn’t belong anywhere, that he’s been lied to, that he’s been betrayed. Also, he is enormously intelligent: he is a very, very intelligent character, but he is under-loved and undervalued.
“We wanted to root his issues as a bad guy with the sort of psychological complexity we discovered in the comic and the Norse sagas.”
With all that has happened Loki is very confused and conflicted about what his place is in the family
They wanted the brother connection to be 100% real between Thor and Loki and really wanted to emphasize that they do care about each other. Thor and Loki are a 2-man team and they’re both going to run Asgard when Oden steps down, you can’t have one without the other.

I enjoyed when they talked about Loki’s weapons “The Knives” (Or the don’t fuck with me tools <<They said Tom really got into it and managed to lodge a rubber dagger in the set they couldn’t find for hours, hes said he guess he was a little too into it.

Sexy my friend very freaking HOT!
I already know I have converted
Oh direct quote about Avengers and Loki’s involvement
Tom Hiddleston: “In Avengers, it's going to be me versus seven of them, and I say "Good luck to them," frankly.”

Hey could you place the accent he uses in the movie? He says it’s not English but is somewhere between American Gods style with a hint of English and lots of his own mix. . . XD
Crazy man

Loki is very complicated
I’m under the strong belief his mother was indeed a Goddess
He is first a first generation God the only way that could be is if his mother was indeed a mix in beings , I know Laufey’s family does carry such a genetic marker but only Loki inherited it, then his mother was supposed to be the Godess who watched earth when Odin was unable to be their (Kind of hinted she was the female version of him watching over his children on Earth)
But when the war came and she was trapped there she used what Magic she could to set a trap and to save some of the humans under the ice, but she kept them distracted from her mission but Laufey found her (Awsome Trophy!) I think it might have been morel iek a self sacrifice to get him to take his eyes off earth. . . .well we all Know Odin won the earth back and unfroze it. But they never mention her again.

*Shrugs* Loki’s only half Giant tho and that’s the only way to explain it ,I don’t know of any other Godesses being taken prisoner by the frost Giants.

Yes Frost Giant don’t have hair But Loki keeps his, he also doesn’t have the Frost Giant Royal crown like Skull Laufey does, I don’t know calling him a runt is the correct term since he was born a “God” technically he evolved XD into being not known to the realms . A powerhouse is what I would say, the man has unlimited magic abilities and can warp through space when the Gods said it was “Impossible to do” without killing oneself in the process.
Loki is very VERY dangerous now that he knows what he is capable of, he can begin to scare the living hell out The Avengers. Finally a villain with character!
Cosmic cube in hand and the invasion of the Skrulls!!!! You don’t want to piss off Loki

(Fist pound) I’m ½ I have several origin countries all Nordic. . .that’s why I’m very white XD
Funny I never hear of to many Norwegians where I’m from. . . .then again my mome was crazy enough to want to name me an Ancient Viking name, my dad made her put it as my middle XD

Yeah I have been writing Thor books as of a month ago its all I do XD

the red eyes, I thought the concept of him having such a side like that was very real and revealing, hes Asgardian he's a god his orginal form is who he is in Asagard, he's 6'2 Blue eyed ash black hair and God Element of fire, I mean seriously how far away from Frost Giant can you get.

*Hugs Loki* you may think your a freak but we think you are awsome!

First and foremost, sorry it took so long to reply. I had a whole thing, and it didn't send, and then my computer was being a jerk....

Anywho's......

Reminds me of Heath Ledger. He used to do that too. And I feel for Tom. I'm a little crazy too.

Did not notice that about the hair. I love it either way, though Loki hair is my fav.

He is really a good guy, he just has a little bit of a misguided view of life, and a fierce jealousy of his brother. I don't get Odin in that respect. He loved Loki, yes, but he took him in for a selfish purpose, and cast him out just as fast.

Plus, he has that awesome ability to make little holograms of himself to make folks go flying of edges...
I read that! I love the way they put it in the interview, just like "Tom..." *Points up*
Though as to how on EARTH you lodge a RUBBER knife into a set is beyond me. He's just that awesome, I guess.

Good luck to them indeed. They are going to need it!

Crazy, crazy man. I couldn't place it either. I spent half the movie on the 2nd time I saw it, going, WTF, what accent is he using?

I'd believe that his mom was a goddess. It would explain his size, though it amazes me that she didn't look for him. Poor woman's probably dead.

I really need to read up on Norse mythology. I know my Greek just fine, but...

He's only a runt compared to the Frost Giants. He's actually a fair tall height. The power and character lead a powerful mix to the fight. It'll be hell for Thor to fight his brother like the others do though. They have no attachment to Loki, and he's Thor's brother.
Wait, SKRULLS?! How come I can't find any of these things?! No pissing of Loki. He'll kill you.

I'm Norwegian, Swedish, and German, so I am tanned, with very pale legs oddly enough. I get harrasments about that. Thank god for your dad, huh? XD

Wish I could write Thor stuff. I can't think of anything.

He's an opposite to a normal Frost Giant, but the red eyes show a lot, like you said. See? Said he was tall!

Group hug! *Tackle Loki!* We love you Loki, no matter what, even if it means we must face a legion of Thor fans.

It’s ok its just one of those mind pause. . . . .moments

Loki is gorgeous character, just so much to work with. Again I myself have had a pretty lonely life, I have and insanity that proven to be their. . . .lol Tom said it himself “Loki is extremely Bipolar” funny thing he said that I’m actually diagnosed Bipolar, yay for tome for pulling out the mental wrack card for all us Basket cases, specially because it give a lot of us someone to really look up to and sympathize with.

I mean come on not everyone is perfect Like the Asgardians, hey were are the Loki’s the ones who want to be perfect but we know we don’t have that radiance Thors do
Tom Hiddleston noted in another interview Loki and him share a lot in common. I can proudly say I do as well and I adore Tom for giving us the Loki we all knew was beneath Marvels Evil Villain.
I also believe in the power of bonds (Thor and Loki) tho Loki may not be Thor’s blood brother he is Thors BLOOD brother , I think their love for each other is still their and very strong so much so Loki wants to shed himself of any emotions regarding Asgard or his former family and just become Nothing.

You got a strong sense of how much Thor loved his brother and how much Loki loved Thor the both of them however many times they have had their sibling spats could never sever the bond or the truth behind how much they really meant to each other. I still think Thor would have accepted Loki even if he knew Loki was a frost giant.

As for Odin >[ he did take Loki for Selfish reasons he admitted that , but he also admitted he loved him dearly and did not wish to see him in pain. The naive fact Odin pushed the inevitable truth from Loki shows he too was in denial of the facts and questioned himself if Loki would be accepted as Asgardian or would the world Reject him.

But more so I don’t think he thought about Loki’s self esteem which was already to the floor, finding something about yourself to that a life changing level broke the ice and it was like Odin left him their to freeze. (No pun intended) If Thor would have been there I think there is no doubt he could have intervened and been there for his brother, instead Loki was alone to deal with this revelation about his true origins, his mind became confused asking himself what is he really, does he have a purpose, was he even suppose to exist, is he just another trophy the ultimate shame upon Frost Giants. Because he would be , him walking in Jotunnheim and revealing he is the heir to the Laufey’s Throne and the keeper of the Casket of Ancient Winters, Loki would not be accepted their either, the boy was rejected by both worlds, then what place could he feel acceptance if any at all.

As for his mother, I believe she died shortly after giving birth to him. She did not belong in a world of ice it took a lot of strength from her just to carry her son, and she did love him. The expression that she gave him his will to live and survive shows as such. His mother also had A frost Giant heritage but was born Asgardian but with no real abilities other than minor magic skills. Loki is born with that plus the magic strength of all Asgardian magicians of all realms. Tho he lacks majorly physically he is 6’2 (Frost Giants are 12-30 feet tall) he’s lean and fragile compared to them, he also hides his body he does not like showing his skin, where as Frost Giants use their natural born abilities gifted by their skin to kill enemies, Loki has no such ability he’s only immune to them. Loki’s magic is unlimited he is the only Asgardian capable of making clones of himself and of others, and he can sleep walk (if he injured he can fall into a powernap like Odin) but Loki is not limited to where he rests he can project himself out in clone forms almost like his real body and wreak havoc with them if he desired.

The man has spooky abilities, he was given them upon his creation, his mother knew what he would be and I assumed prayed the Asgardians would find him before The Frost Giants realized what her son was, what he could do, I assume Laufey kept his son around because of Loki’s mother, he did love her. I don’t think he could part with his son by killing him with his own hands, that’s why he left him to die and considered him a curse to his blood. Also frost giant have tattoos on their bodies they represent rank, Laufey has a crown like circlet symbolic only to royalty of the Frost Giants , Loki also has this Circlet when he’s in frost form, most of it is hidden by his hair but you can see the blue Halo if you look hard enough. That is probably how Odin knew right away the baby was Laufey’s son and schemed that he could use the boy, but when he picked the child up he changed to a more loving side, he thought about how to use the boy but at the same time adored him, so his whole intentions became confused but never fully expressed, because he himself did not understand them, Was Loki a tool for peace, to a forced forgiveness of Asgard’s sins, or was he more than an object because Odin began to treat him like his own son, he gave him his name his title the honors of his blood (Odin cannot do that unless Loki is indeed recognized as Royal blood) he gave Loki that and much more, he allowed Loki to grow up beside his real son Thor, both were inseparable, Loki completed Odin’s quest for Wisdom he was that last puzzle piece next to Thor that made his universe a whole and span times of piece.
But it was ultimate neglect by Odin and by Thor who took Loki for granted that shows how fragile a balance it was that kept Odin from admitting the truth to himself, He had pushed Loki aside he had forgotten the lessons he had learned and lost the awareness of the one child that kept the balance.

Sad indeed

Tom’s accent *Shakes head* my lord he says even his real accent doesn’t sound British because he doesn’t use the same vocab the English use, he uses American Vocab ( he calls biscuit a biscuit a cookie a cookie) so he has the hint of the English there but not so much, as he said he always got made fun of in his schools because he didn’t speak properly. . . .”YOU speak LIKE A YANK” *Hes rolls his eyes*
After all he grew up in a theater where international Actors were always there so he learn to talk from them XD and picked up on slang and understood jokes Other English folk wouldn’t get.
He felt like he was a blended individual with all accents in the English countries, XD
But he said for Loki he did not use the English Accent but made one up like his but slightly more American (In his case My English got worse and butchered as the old guys would call it)
But you can’t place Loki’s accent because he doesn’t want you to, he said Loki has his own way of speaking XD <<<<
Yeah I have written a lot XD
Loki is just hot (6’2 is short for an Asgardian)

Oh I knows *Loki love Tackle* ~<3

My computer just hates me. Deleted my bit for this one too.

Brought my friend with me to see Thor. She said Loki was scrawny and ugly. She is now nursing a rather bruised punched arm.

Bipolar is an understatement. He went from yelling at Odin to holding his hand inside twenty seconds...I love him. He's just like me.

He really wanted to be seen as an equal, though they never accepted him as such. He just wanted to prove himself as just as good of a brother as Thor.

I think Thor realized something was up when Loki said he never was his brother. He still wouldn't fight him until he practically threatened Jane though. So I give him creds. He really does love Loki.

I still think their mother loved him more. She simply didn't want him to think himself different, despite the fact that he was. She just accepted him and loved him. Odin was just being a selfish bastard, even if he loved Loki.

Thor would've stood up for him, no doubt. He may have been a self-centered prick, but he was till good at heart. I.E., when Selvig is drunk as all hell, and he HAULS the damned man the entire way back, simply saying, 'We drank, we fought, he made his ancestors proud.'

She gave birth to the most awesome god in Norse mythology, so I give her credit. She's a good woman. I want me a Loki clone! And Laufey seemed to genuinely care for his boy. He says that Thor 'Knows not what his actions would unleash.' He does. And he looks all sad at this. Who wants to guess what he's thinking of?!

Odin almost seemed to just forget that the boy needed attention. He needed love, which he was deprived of in favor of Thor. I saw the designs in his skin this time! He really does have the heirarchy designs.

Few more things to be noted, he just almost sat back and watched everything go wrong. When they returned from Jotunheim, he was practically smiling as he watched Thor be yelled at. He was still shocked when he was banished though. He was like, 'Thank god that's not me.'
And, Heimdall was still alive when Loki froze him. He had to stand there, being turned into a block of ice, as he watched the son of Odin, and acting king of Asgard, turn into a Frost Giant. Scary thoughts were running through that man's head.

Yay for cookies! And what on EARTH is wrong with speaking like a yank? It sounds hot!
International actors get all the fun. And hot guys.
The old guys speak lies!
Damn, I wanted to find a man who spoke like that who I could actually get near.

Then post!
How on earth is 6'2 short, even for an Asgardian. I'm only 5'4. That's freaking tall to me!

He'll probably be like, 'Get the hell off' though. *Squeeze!*

God I love him. He makes the best jokes, or simply funny points, even in a interview. ([link] )

this is long (I carried on a bit XD)

Your friends suck! My friend adores Thor but still has the hots for Loki, Just admit hers attractive and let move on.

Well yes Loki is Bipolar he doesn’t know what his emotions are doing half of them time poor baby *Hugs him* I know how you feel I have done the same thing, except mine was more dangerous *Rolls eyes*

Loki and Thors sibling rivalry was brought on By Odin and the warriors three and sif. They always let Thor get away with murder. Loki can’t get away with one mistake without feeling in the rest of his life.

Thor loved Loki very much before the ceremony at the start of the film there is a scene that was taken out , a very sweet scene between Thor and Loki. Thor is all worried Loki places a hand on his shoulder and tells him to “settle down big brother” the two have a genuine moment. Thor thinks Loki wants the throne and want to take it from him (Loki doesn’t want it, he dreams about it but No he could never be A king, he loves Freedom ) he plays a prank on a maid as she walks into the chambers with wine on a tray, she drops the tray running. Thor Laughs reassured his brother never want the throne by how playful he is. (Loki though is very upset at how his brother has been treating him, Thor’s friends brainwash him on a daily basis saying things about him that his brother who use to brush them aside is now becoming quite the believer in what they preach. he’s Stubborn and very Arrogant Loki does not believe those are proper qualities in a King he wishes to show Odin Thor Is not ready to rule and if he does may mean the end of Asgard and war of all realms) Loki was being realistic , he would love as much as Asgard to see Thor as king and to serve him, but he’s afraid the Thor he Loves has become corrupted over time to a Spoiled rotten Brat, not only that but Thor has pledged his loyalty to his little brother to never side with anyone until he heard him out, that promise had long since faded into Oblivion, but Loki still remembers it, and every other time Thor had embraced him and told him no other would come between them, Thor Loved him the most. From time to time Loki was reassured of his brother’s love like at the moment of Thors Coronation. Thor nearly picked his brother up as he pulled him into a half hug

“I love you brother”—Loki says this with absolute truth and emotion it actually catches Thor off Guard
“and I’m very proud of you”
He embraces Loki fully now in a big hug
(True Loki was proud of his brother, but he knew once that crown was his he would become A tyrant, and idiotic and put Asgard and all who live there in danger with his talks of war/ Thor was like two people to Loki, one was his brother the one he was with now the other an arrogant monster that hated him) he kept saying to himself, this moment defines the future, will his brother fall for the bait and prove Loki right or will he be the king Loki hoped he was and prove Loki wrong)
“And I love you brother” Loki never got tired of hearing that even if sometimes he felt Thor never told him the truth and often that made him want to break down and cry. Loki pulls away and out his Helmet on the next time he would see Thor he would kneel before Odin.
Loki could barely think straight as he took his place next to his mother and the roar of Asgards many residents Humbled him to the site of all those he holds dear, who hate him and despise him and for some odd reason he wanted to protect them.

Thor also never found out about what Loki was talking about when it came to him not being his brother , Loki sorta trailed off assuming the cat was out of the bag and it was not yet.
As for him threatening Jane if you seen how hurt he was that Thor cared more about her safety then Loki’s . It was like that proof of affection, Loki felt betrayed that his brother never once had cause to be emotional about anything until that moment, He chose Jane over his brother. Loki was now convinced his Brother really never cared much for him, or when his did it was all for some higher reason Of keep him in his place. That internally push Loki off the edge into insanity all he wanted was Thor to suffer like he has to feel the loss of having everything you hold dear ripped away from you. Jane now represented the love Loki had for Thor , his brother the only person who ever loved him for who he was. Thor was taken from him and that left an emotional wound Loki now wishes to share by taking away Jane, only then will he feel the loss the God of Mischief has.

Thor would not fight Loki because he was afraid he would kill him (Loki’s weaker than Thor in hand to hand Combat) Loki was daring him practically to kill him, thor would not do it, Loki took that as challenge in power, the Thor was holding back because he was afraid he would over power Loki and hurt him. We all know that just pisses Loki off something fierce.

But Loki sees his brother destroying the Bifrost and can’t computer what Thor is doing, Loki didn’t see it the way Thor seen it, Loki seen it as hors self-righteous attempt to be the Hero by sacrificing Jane there for making himself worthy to be a noble king. So hello prick brother all over again. Loki though could not admit the truth to himself though it was right in front of him so he made up reasons for his brothers destruction of the bifrost other than what Thor was really doing.

Thor made a choice at that moment, it was Jane or Loki, In order to save Loki from himself and the insanity he pursued there was no way of stopping him from destroying the Jotuns and his own brother, the Bifrost must go. Loki was pissed at that choice because he had already condemned his brother in his mind but not his heart.

Loki hanging on to Thor and Odin was like a symbolic gesture that Loki himself had to make a decision
He what he had done was unforgivable as his clarity of mind came back, Odin did not say anything to stop him, To Loki that must have been the part he loosened his grip even though for the first time since they were children Loki had his brother back, Maybe knowing he had taught Thor a lesson it was time he accepted his fate , and let his brother mourn for the rest of his life . Odin must live with this outcome and how it will destroy the balance of his family, he will watch Thor suffer the consequences. The Guilt will fall upon his dear brother, they were the reason he fell from Asgard and gave up the place he loved because e knew he never belonged there to begin with, nobody cared enough about what he was to become, if they did this would have never ended with tears.

(I’m looking at this thru the eyes of siblings I have two older brothers and one little sister and we fight like cats and dogs)*Brothers are in their 30s*

(Loki is Frigga’s favorite son that goes without question, and she was pissed off at Odin for not thinking about Loki and how much his actions will affect him (another scene in the movie cut out) she did not have any children so when Loki was brought back for her to care for the two immediately bonded , both of the them had come into that family alone and she found her reason to smile.
X3 in the form of Baby Loki <3 <3

Oh yes King Laufey, he is an awkward case, he did not want his son at all, but Loki’s mother being the awesome bitch she is made it so it was very hard for him to part with the new born, she graced him with a spell so he could not kill him, instead he was reminded of her and what he had done to deserve that child.
Laufey did not know who took his son, he just knows someone took him, and well you know he began to feel uneasy about that, his son was Asgardian he could be later used as a weapon his immunity to their frost means he’s invincible to what Always killed Asgardians. Laufey had suspicions it was Odin, because only a sly fox such as Odin would get such an idea to pick up an abandoned enemies baby with royal blood line. (If Laufey would have kept him and raised him he would have had a weapon against Asgard)
(“Laufey; “WELL FUCK!!”)

So you seen the hierarchy designs, you see I’m not crazy XD I noticed him and Laufey shared markings when I first seen it, I was looking for them because Laufey does not wear a crown so something had to be in place so he could be distinguished as Royalty, being the circlet, no single Frost Giant is the same, unless you are Royalty in Loki’s case a prince (Loki Prince of both Worlds double the trouble) Theory was proven correct upon seeing it a second time (I thought it was cute they did that subtle way of showing he is not to be taken likely the man has a violent past when it comes to his origins and his birth parents story as much as he hates Frost Giants he hates himself equally *Sorta like a Stigma))

Odin is an ass of a father, no objections there he has social problems, I hate parents who favor one child over the other even if they are adopted it’s BS
(In Norse Mythology Loki was an excellent father to his two sons both felt Loved by him and their Mother) is that so damn hard Odin if even Loki the screw up can follow thru wit better parenting than you or Thor. (Also Loki’s wife was loyal to him, meaning she slept only with him and was never drawn to temptation by any other God , she loved her Loki <3 <3 you go GIRL!)

Loki didn’t sit back and watch, he can’t for a damn thing to help Thor, and Odin always has both boys present when one is going to get punished (Its often both of them that share the punishment) so Loki kept his mouth shut, Loki has the tendency to defend his brother and when that happens Odin give him the same punishment, Thor told his brother to stop doing that (Movie Comic book) So Thor was asking for it then. Loki was not expecting to make it to Jotunheim he did not want his brother banished (Loki hates the Bifrost and he fears traveling by it because it unnatural to have your body ripped and torn like that and you might get trapped in darkness) Loki fear the Bifrost very much and it made him sick with just one trip (He’s more like human when it comes to traveling by Bifrost) so at that moment Loki was regaining his land legs and his stomach so staying quiet until he had figured himself out first would have been the polite way to go, But Loki knows he is not to interrupt his father’s lecture, unlike thor who just made it worse Loki might have gotten a chance to step in if Thor put a sock in it for 10 seconds. Loki was panicking in his head when Thor was cast out, he kept thinking he can’t do this ruling thing by himself for him and Thor it has always been 50/50 he’s already out of his mind with his duties now and the new events of his arm and how he was immune to the Frost giants has damn near had him frazzled.

Another scene the cut from the film Was when Asgardian counsel/noble higher ups made the decision to make Loki temporary king of Asgard, Loki was sickened by the decision and backs away declining, Loki knows that crown is not his and he does not want it, also he knows he will become the most hated person in all of Asgard, he doesn’t want to be hated he seeks acceptance. This was not what he wanted but he knows he is Asgards only other choice, they ask him again and he declines.
The council debates way they could get Loki to reconsider or Force him on the throne. They ask the help of the Queen who leaves Odin’s side also concerned ad frankly flabbergasted Loki will not take the throne
“You do not know what it is you ask me to do mother”
She gets upset with his “I’m not even one of you, what would they do if they knew “
She guilt’s him into the position by telling him he owes it to everyone to take the throne and to Odin. The he is cornered by the council and they bring out his mother with Odin’s spear he’s hesitant to wield it because he knows what will happen to him if he does, finding out the truth about who you are and hen being asked to do such an enormous life draining task for such a young god, he didn’t even know what his purpose is in being alive. Tearfully he accepts his fate, his own mother hands his tragic end to him.

Once again Loki gets jilted for Odin this time by his mother.

Heimdall already knew what Loki was, he seen Odin pick him up in Jotunheim and bring him back, rather or not he knew Loki was the son of a frost Giant (New curse word<<

In Britain where he was born (London) the English are very harsh on how well you speak and your proper Englishness, they are very arrogant bastards when it comes to speech. The hate how Americans speak they call it perverted (Same with Canada, Australia and New Zealand) by the biggest one they hate is American English.

Tom has the English accent but it’s subtle and he talks like an American when it comes to certain pronunciations the English pride themselves on.

He grew up in performing art theater (His mother a casting director) he was always there and they hired actors from The USA and other places , but he grew up around those actors and picked up on their speech and lingo not to mention jokes, so to him it was normal, but in school he was the one who stood out and got all the picking on for speaking English improperly, he didn’t see what was such the big deal about it, he thinks people can understand him better when he’s clear at what he’s saying.

So the epic saga of them making fun of him began (They still do even though he can speak with the standard British accent and style at will in private back stage he speak normally

(I FIND THAT SEXY!!!!)

You know the director of Thor was the same way, he grew up in Ireland so he has strong Irish accent, he came to London for school they bullied him so badly about his accent it terrified him, he spent his whole summer learning how to speak with an English accent and ridding himself of his Irish that how bad the bullying was.

(Of course he came to the states and he realized he could let it go because no one really minded accents, he said it felt good on the set of an American film and speaking with the voice he was born with and had to hide for so long) he still has to put on the English accent though when he’s back in the UK performing on stages.

To me that’s sad

Men who have such culture in their lives such as Ken and Tom should not be afraid to show it.
Tom specially he a child of both sides of the ocean and that should be treasured because he gets things about America other Englishmen will never ever get, makes him open and fun to talk to, he also doesn’t see Americans as having accents that are that strong (Unless you are in the south and some areas of the east coast) he was mostly on the west coast which is standard American (Yankee/George Washington style) he also like how Americans mix other languages into our own everyday lingo, makes it fun.
Where over there in Europe you get flogged for saying Pants

I have read all of his interviews (Beat you to it!) I have also seen him sing and dance on stage. . .>3

Asgardians are huge, in Asgard they are 7ft+

Frost Giants are even bigger-Loki has frost Giant blood but his max height is 6’2
(That’s shorter than my brother who is 6’4 same height as Chris hems worth)
6’2 is perfect height for me, I like my guys between 6’1-6’3
I’m about 5’7 ½ -5’8

But point being in the comic they used to have Loki like the smallest damn dwarf ever! I mean for a man of Giant origins 5’6 is freaking tiny specially when your brother is 7ft
Talk about awkward.
So I am perfectly happy with 6’2-loki and 6’4-Thor Perfect! Now don’t touch them XD

Loki is a sweetie we all just got to help Thor beat some sense into him. . .*Oh Loki*
He’s actually very cuddly, you may not think so he does not mind physical contact

And yes I’m severe bipolar welcome to MY NIGHTMARE! *no different than Loki*

I'm sooo late! Here's my answer, severely condensed!

I love him, but she isn't really a movie person, so she didn't really care for the movie at all. I, on the other hand, found to my extreme pleasure that a website I go to often to watch movies online somehow mystically has Thor!

I have that on occasion. I've beaned many a person when they've pissed me off.

Thor seems to be able to do anything. Poor baby Loki can't. *Snuggle Hug*

Imagining these scenes, crying and laughing. So sweet! Where do you find these?!

Jane seems to be the point leading to most of Loki's problems with Thor. He doesn't even end up with her in the comics!

Weaker, maybe, but much more cunning. And, Loki hates being seen as lesser, so he'd be major pissed at that.

Because Thor, though he learned his lesson, IS a prick. Or he was. Loki hadn't really seen the change, so didn't realize what Thor was really doing.

The heart is a wonderous thing. It holds on, no matter what.

Stupid clarity of mind. Comes back at the worst possible moment. Odin, knowing him as the 'great man' that he is, would've mourned, then recovered.

Yay for baby Loki! Must. See. Scenes!

Awesome bitch indeed! Laufey got what he deserved.

They're small, so kinda hard to see at first glance, but they are there indeed.

Total BS. They're your kid. Love 'em equal. I have a mom whom I'm fair certain favors my brother.

Loki's wife FTW! He would make a great father. He knows what NOT to do.

He did try to speak up, only to be rebuked by Odin. In a very scary fashion I might add. I can't imagine what you must see in the Bifrost, with all that happens in it. Thor does need to learn when to shut up though... *Sigh* Well, at least he learned a lesson.

Yet another reason to hate politics. They hand you your fate on a silver platter.

Frigga probably didn't want to though, knowing what it'd do to her son.

New curse! Said that one a few days ago, and got some REALLY weird stares. I just don't think Heimdall expected Loki to freeze him like that though, even if he didn't like him.

Thank you Britain for once again putting us down. Wonderful. *Serious sarcasm mode*

See? He was born to act!

Yet again proof of how terrible some people can be.
We folk here don't give a crap on how you speak unless it's either hot, or we can't understand you.
Flogged for pants? PANTS?! Wow they have issues.

Meh. I'm trying on the interview front.

Big folk.
Most of my guy friends tower over me at 6'2, and they love that while I like that they're tall, I hate being shorter, having stopped growing at 5'4. I'm a tiny person in comparison!

No touchie!

That perks me up! *Hugs galore for Loki! Bury him in fangirl!*

*Flee!!!* LOL JK.

The interviews , I was being funny XD (I would begin to wonder if I’m a stalker OTHERWISE -_-

Yes the Brits have dif names for things and it drives me bonkers XD specially when they don’t make sense, Like Fanny and Pants are a curse works as bad as the C and F word here. WTF! mate

You know of a website to watch Thor? My friend just got medically discharged from the military (She missed the release of the movie and she does not want to wait till December when it comes out on DVD.

Well some of the Scenes I get from the Novels, others are from the actors themselves who were very disappointed the scenes didn’t make it into the film. Ken and everyone said A LOT was cut out and the hinted at the scenes that were and shed some light on them hoping maybe they can put them in the USA release Of the DVD with an Extended cut.

Loki is faster than his brother smarter and cunning as a fox, I see him stronger than Thor just because of his suffering for so long, I mean who is really the Hero? Loki created Thor the superhero and brought the Avengers together, not to mention gave Odin one of those foot in mouth moments.
Loki is too strong for his own good, he realizes now what he is capable of and now that he’s aware of himself he has become the biggest threat to the universe . *Applauds at Odin*
Way to go you sure ain’t father of the year!

Loki’s heart is truly something to be marveled at it a piece of work to put it mildly the man has every reason to hate everything but there is still that hope his heart is not completely lost.

Nal and Baby Loki X3 I love that women with all my heart, she actually reminds me a lot of Sigyn her ability to see past things to the good in all. I can Imagine Sigyn embracing Nal thanking her for not giving up on her baby and making sure Odin would find him (The two best mothers in the world right there)

Loki being a daddy is cute, most people don’t see him that way but in real life he actually the god who would love to be with his wife and children over anything else. (He actually has two daughters also XD depends on what you read) He loved them all the same and have a successful family life where he failed at everything else. I find that so sweet he has that side he adored his wife and children and raised them right (Only to be victims of brutal murder by Odin and the other gods all Loki had left was Sigyn and all she had left was her only love Loki…till death do us part indeed)

In Original Norse Mythology When Loki confront Heimdall on the Bifrost its raganarok (They already Know it was Loki’s fate to bring about the end of Asgard) How he does that is by destroying the Bifrost when Loki Kills Heimdall witch also kill himself the Bifrost is shattered and the gods are lost. (Reborn On Earth where Loki gets a second chance with no curse)
Point being that scene in the movie was total rewriting , he did not kill Heimdall because his used the Casket instead of the spear. They are giving the story a new plot and flare by drifting away from the whole destiny and fate thing.
Heimdall already knew what was coming, yes he was not expecting to be frozen but something else, death him and Loki were suppose to engage in a battle that would decide the fate of Asgard.
But the world did not end when the Bifrost was destroyed Heimdall and Loki did not die and Thor destroyed the Bifrost with his own two hands instead of Loki

I like the way this new story is going

I ROFL at that XD

My friends and entire family seems to think I enjoy stalking my favorite actors. I scoff...And blush like a mad person.

Damn, now I want to go there and say one of those JUST to see what happens.

Yeah, I watch a ton of movies there. The quality sucks, and you're technically only allowed to watch 10 minutes before you're supposed to make an account, (Cheating bastards) but if you delete your web history and refresh the page, it works fine. It's ionlinemovie.com. Works almost everytime 4 me!

Still wish I could watch them NOW.

Loki is the real hero, but because of his unorthodox methods, he's seen as the bad guy.

We all hope, and some of us believe!

Baby Loki FTW! Yay Nal! She is/was an amazing woman, considering who she gave birth to, it's automatic.

I read about the Fenrir Wolf once. I thought it was terrible, what the gods did. Brutally slaughtering someone's kin, no matter what your reasons are, is just wrong.

I just thought of that because of the major close up on Heimdall's eye when he froze, so, idk.

Yay for new storyline!

XD Figured you would.

yeah my first chapter I'm going to do for my LOKI novel is about Nal

White-out, really?

I haven't seen any of the Trons. I plan to but right now I'm a bit busy. That will be a summer activity.

You had TV? The only time I got to watch TV in the hospital was when my mom was still working (she used to be a respitory therapist). When my mom was in the hospital for her galbadder, all I had was markers and paper. No TV for me then. The rest of the time she was in the hospital, I was in high school so I didn't stay for long because I couldn't drive (dad drove) and my mom wouldn't want me to miss school.

But your mom had cancer? What type? Is she okay?

We lived at the hospital they even had a waiting room converted into a small living area for my entire family Uncles Aunts cousins were all living there from time to time, We got a TV in my mons room and in our room. We brought up video Games and things to play with, I learned how to draw from my mother during that time.

she died a year and two months after being diagnosed with Bone Cancer.
It was a rough time for alot of us, playing movies helped keep us and her from thinking about things to much

Bone cancer is nasty

I can only imagine. Bones are important not only to the overall body structure but also protection of organs, storage of red marrow (for blood cell production), storage of calcium, actually the storage of many minerals. If cancer attacked that, immediately several body functions must have stopped working...

And there is also this substance that surrounds the bone as sort of a sheath between the muscles and bones that if it seperates from the bone, it really hurts (shin splints are the best example). I can't imagine how cancer would affect that relationship...

I hope she was a very nice person who got to live most of her life at least. I hope she is in a better place.

she was 41 when she died, she didn't even have gray hair yet

Bone cancer is in the blood cells and the marrow, you get weak you can't stand you are tired and you bruise

but the cancer is in the bone marrow itself the only way to destroy it is to revmove the bone or transplant.

removeing the bone is a no no unless you catch the cancer in it very very early stages.

Its very painful

That is what I thought, I just didn't want to say it and potencially offend you. Because out of all the cancers out there, bone cancer sounds the most painful. I mean, people scream when they break a bone, I can't imagine what it would be like to have that part of your body being constantly under attack.

My mom began getting gray hair when she was in her mid-twenties so I have always seen her dye it. She's 52 now and since she had the operation to help her lose weight, I really hope she gets to live for a long time. She used to be in a catch-22: she couldn't work out because it hurt her and she couldn't lose weight because she couldn't exercise. Eating right is only a part of it; exercising is a crucial part that many do not realize.

Both my parents have been obese for most of my childhood so part of me believed that they wouldn't live to see my children. Now that my mom is at a safe weight, I think she will make it but now I'm trying to get my dad down to a more reasonable weight because he is the parent I know who would be most excited to see grandkids (I get my love of children from him).

I know they say that you really can't know how something feels second-hand but my parents always told me how much it hurt and how they regreted getting that far so I know I really don't want to be in the same position. It's the same with cancer, I suppose. You may not know exactly how the other person feels but there is still something there and if you are told about it, you can at least understand that it is not something you want for yourself.

So, I guess what I am trying to say is that I kind of understand about your mom. I still have mine but the fear of losing a parent is something I know and it really doesn't feel good at all.

My dad is in his 60's , he worked at a paper mill for 38 years the chemicals he worked around and the condition he worked in. Yeah heas been burned by chemicals.

My mom worked in the Chemical Lab (All of those who worked with her also got cancer)
my mother was 40 she she had no silver yet on her head, she lost all her hair, she died before it even grew back

I think its the fate of that generation not to see the future.

I suppose I should just ask that they can see one grandchild then. However, my mom had me when she was 33 so...I might follow in that footstep.

My dad was in the Navy for years so I have no idea what he's been exposed to but now most of his problems center around his weight and back pain. If I could get him to lose some weight, I think he could live in his mid-fifties at the least.

My mom used to be a respiratory therapist so I think whatever she was exposed to she was shielded from. Now she works for my school district so the most dangerous thing she is exposed to is the electric heater in the winter.

...I guess there isn't that much hope for the last generation. I would say that the next generation will have its problems as well but I have no idea what global warming will do (despite how much it is emphasized publicly) and what lifestyles will appear. If landline phones are deemed old-fashioned and pulled up, I think we will have a problem with reproduction. There is already a lack of communication with others around each other: someone will text someone 20ft+ away while interupting their conversation with someone in front of them. I don't get why we have to have cell phones to get in touch with people we will see sometime during the week. I understand for business people and international people and the like but not everyone needs a phone on them at all times.
Hell, if I'm in class, the sucker is off and I could leave it on all day and no one would try to contact me. I try to be more focused on the people around me than the people across the state. Sure, I give them their time as well but I've been thinking of writing letters more and more lately...

...urk, some people and their phones just pi**es me off...

I don't think all hope is lost
correction can be there if we can find a way to alter regulations, even if we got School to take kids out and about to move them aorund more while teaching would be wicked cool

I remember learning about Oregon Hisotry and we went out to the forest where loggers were, we walked and climbed over trees and helped count and tag trees. It was fun and worked us into the dirt. We even walked the logging Doggies. Class I think is the first place we should look to make a change. I know I hated sitting in class and wished we could go outside and play a game all the time.

I am the same as you with phones, I know how to put mine down, I only have it on when I am gone from home.
People are always texting and driving or on the phone and driving or sneaking texts in class
God I wish it would stop

Yes! Learning isn't just auditory and visual. It is kinetic as well the the more all three of these ways combine, the better the education. If we start kids out early on this kind of learning, we will probably have less of the kids that b**ch about being outside and getting dirty and how 'lame' something is later in the school life.

I had this science teacher in the ninth grade. It was his last year teaching and since they couldn't really fire him, he basically did whatever he wanted (though the guy lived for science so it was all science related). Sure, me mainly sat in the classroom but when we did 'experiments', sometimes we would go outside and see him burn something to demonstrate a reaction or once our class built hot air balloons out of paper and he operated the air going into the balloons while each group watched how far their balloon went, kind of like a competition.

He also used to have a hiking trip that was required but since it was his last year teaching, he didn't make it part of our grade. My friends and I ended up going and we had a blast as he explained some of the trees and plants around. The guys were yelling at us for being slow on the way up though. If they had our packs, they would have had trouble too. I swear my mom sent us up with two weeks worth of food (we were there for a night) and that included a couple big bags of already cooked pasta and cans of tomato sauce. Didn't need the teacher to tell us the physics of all that. (It was general science for ninth graders)

But I guess the point was that when he let us outside, he trusted us to stay around and see the experiment. I think that is why he was liked because he only told us once to stay around and after that he didn't have to. If teachers could do that, I think school would definately held more value to children than waiting for recess.

We get a lot of rain up here though so I'm not sure how that would have worked...
